Hi everyone,
I'm sure this is covered somewhere (or lots of places) but I've got an 17 month old and not much time, so I'm hoping you can help me out, and make my life a little easier!

We have stayed in studios before but never a one bed. We will be having most of our stay at SSR and then a few days at BCV... what is in the kitchen etc, and am I right in thinking there is a washing machine? Can we use any type of powder / washing tablets in the machine? Never done washing on holiday before, but with a small one and trying to keep our bags light am thinking it might be the way to go...

Thanks folks:goodvibes

There will be a king bed in the master with a pull out sofa bed in the living room. There will also be a Pack N Play in the closet that can be set up for the little one. The kitchen will be fully stocked with pots, pans, silver etc for up to 8 people, since the kitchen is meant to be part of a 2 bedroom unit when added to a studio. Ther will be a stackable washer and dryer (standard) as well as a stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker etc. etc. etc. You WILL need to buy your own laundry soap once you get there or bring it with you. You will also need any sugar and food supplies as well as coffee, but there will be a start up pack of coffee and sugar there.

Don't they give you a little box of Tide or has that changed??

There is detergent available in the stores at the resorts.......

Cool this is helpful... is there a kettle? So often we get somewhere to discover a coffee maker not a kettle..

We have not had a kettle at SSR but did have one at BCV two weeks ago. For the little one - there is also a high chair in the closet - this was one of the best things when traveling for us!!!!

Housekeeping will bring a kettle to your room if requested. (We do this every stay ...)

We were just there at SSR from Dec. 11th-18th and there was a small complimentary box of Tide, I think? on top of the washer. It was good enough for two loads so I'd bring extra. I always just scoop out a good bit of detergent (from home) and put it into a ziploc bag (as well as some dryer sheets). It fits nicely in the zipper in my suitcase.

Enjoy your trip!:goodvibes

With a 17 month old you will LOVE the 1 bedroom villa. Having a full kitchen and washer/dryer will be invaluable. Having 2 rooms is also great at nap/bedtime.

Have a great vacation!
