One bagel in the batch was moldy, would you eat the rest?

Curious. I bought a bag of bagels from Sam's today. Out of six, one was a little moldy. It was the one on the bottom and the mold was on the bottom of the bagel so it wasn't touching any of the other bagel. Not worth it to me to take them back. So I'll either eat the rest or pitch them.

As long as the rest look fine, I would eat them. Just transfer the good ones to a clean ziploc bag.

Chances are the spores are there, they just haven't bloomed. I would dump them.

I would toss all of them. As someone else said, maybe you just can't see the mold spores yet.

I'm sure they are probably fine, but I guess I would toss them because you know you won't be able to enjoy them...you'll be thinking about the MOLD!!!

Um...I'm gonna admit that yes, I would. I would also tear the mouldy spots off that one and eat it anyway. I've never gotten sick yet.

I have an iron stomach, though. I've had old milk and yogurt...never had so much as a stomachache.

I would probably toss them, but that kind of stuff makes me really squeemish.

I guarantee DH would eat them and not even think twice about it.

I would have no problem eating the rest of the bagels in the bag. I also would have put them into a clean bag.

I'd be too paranoid to eat the rest. I'd be suspiciously eyeing the bagel, looking for the isolated mold spore.

A little mold never hurt anyone! The reality is that I'd get grossed out and not eat it, but I'd know in my head that it's fine. So I'd throw the bad one away and let my family eat the rest.
