Once Upon a Toy, Mr. Potatohead question...

Thanks for the info on the cost and where to buy. Now, how many pieces fit in a box, if you don't buy the main potato body? ANy ideas? The reason I am asking is that people sell the pieces on EBAY, but they seem pretty high. Like 8 pieces for $4.99 + shipping. So I;m wondering what I can get for $17, if I wait.

Even though it's for work, I'll probably bring a few potato head bodies with me to WDW this summer....I'll bet my kids might want to play with it!

You will need the WDW arms to hold the Disney unique items. I remember that from the last thread on Potato Head. It has stuck in my mind for our trip in October.

You can get a boatload of stuff in the boxes. :D

I had a BALL doing this, my girls weren't amused. They went off with grandma about 20 minutes into my box stuffing self-imposed challenge. :D

One big tip is to stuff everything. The bottoms of shoes and the insides of hats allow for mickey bars to be crammed in them.

Remember those little mickey bars are tiny. So are the arms if you stuff them in there in the corners of the boxes.

Pick and choose which hats and shoes you want, remembering to get the Disney themed ones first. Don't waste the space on regular items.

Remember this is very important, you MUST buy the disney arms or the balloons, tickets, Mickey bars won't work.

I can't wait to go back and do this again. I had a blast. The cashier asked me how many times I had done this. I told him it was my first time. He shook his head in disbelief. :D :D

Last Oct, I got the box crammed full of whatever Disney themed pieces they had, plus two sets of arms. I got a head at my local flea market, so I made WDW Potato Head Me! I still need a head to make DH. Now I hear there are new pieces. Of course I need them. Can you buy the pieces, or do I have to stuff a whole other box? Like that would be a bad thing!!!! Are there enough new pieces to stuff into a box? I have the auto. book, mickey bar, camera, sandals, sorcerer hat, glasses, teacup, balloon.

lots of new pieces since Oct. 2003, LOL.....we just found that out last week::yes::

we got--Buzz Lightyear pieces, a goofy hat, mickey shoes, a minnie bow, guitar, princess crown, etc....there was no way we could fit all the new pieces in a box, either.

When did the Lego store start offering a "stuff" box? My son will love this but I may go insane if we have any more Legos in the house! How much is it?

I resisted the pull of the Potato but now I wish I had one for my desk at school. This is on my must buy list this year so I love hearing how everyone stuffs their box.

We did this in Sept of 2002. We will definetly have to do it again. Where is the best place to get the most pieces? Is it DTD!! I can't wait to get more pieces. April:Pinkbounc

OK...you guys! I'm already so excited for our trip, but this has put me over the edge. I will be at DD getting my potato parts the night we arrive. My DS is 8 and already thinks I'm a dork, but I must have a custom potato head!!!

Could someone post about the Lego store. PLEASE??? My son can't get enough Lego's. I would love to know if there is a box we can fill like the potato parts

I have been looking forward to this ever since the store opened. Is there a list anywhere on line with all the special disney parts listed?

Is this available in Disneyland also? If so where? We are going in 3 weeks and I would love to participate in all of the fun. My DH won't be thrilled with more toys, but my DD3 loves everything Potatohead.

Thanks everyone for all of the info so far.

About the Lego Store....WE never actually made it, though it was one of the things I was most looking forward to. My aunt told me about it and said that there are 2 different sized cups you can buy, I think one is 12.95 and the other 16.95 or somethign and you stuff it with any pieces you want. I highly reccommend only getting rare, working or hard to find parts because you can get the regular legos pretty cheap.
