Hi. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what other toys can you "make" or "stuff" in DTD? I've heard about the build your own lightsabers, stuff a box of my little ponies, as well as Mr. potato head. Is there anything else? My boys want that light saber but I wondered what other choices there are. My daughter is not that into ponies or potato head. We did a "stuff a treasure chest or skeleton head" with treasure like gold and gems last time for my son. I never knew these other things existed so it makes me wonder what else there is! Especially for my daughter if the boys get the lightsabers. Anything like legos, dolls, hair things, etc? Disney build a bear? Thanks for any help!

I don't know all the details about everything as we have only purchased the ponies, but I'll tell you what I do know.

These are not necessarily sold at the Toy store but you can find them around the parks and/or Down Town Disney

-Build your own Mickey Ears
-Build your princess crown (has things you can snap on them)
-Build your own princess wand (....ditto....)
-Fill a pirate chest, or something like that.

You can also buy a necklace or bracelet and buy charms to go on it.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

The Lego store has bulk bins and you can fill up a small or large container for a set price.

As far as I can remember the World of Disney store only has the Ponies or Potato head boxes to fill.

ETA: Here's a pic from the Lego store and you can see the bins:

My boys would love the legos! Do they have any disney specific pieces? Do you remember the price by any chance?

Also, what are make your own mickey ears?

Thank you for your replies!

No, there aren't any Disney specific pieces, just lots and lots of pieces of all different shapes, colors, and sizes. DH filled a cup, it was about the size of a large fast-food cup, and I *think* it was $17. There were lots of adult men filling up lego cups!

My DS is a total Star Wars nutso. We had 3 light sabers at home already... But even I wanted one of the build your own light saber. So we both built one! There are a ton of options... but here goes.
-You can choose a clear tube or red tube.
-You have options of three colors (red, blue and green - you'll get two discs of that same color to make it strong, which we originally didn't do and the green really was not visible if you didn't)
-You'll get 3 gems for different light saber sounds.
-You can have a one sided light saber or a two sided (like Darth Maul), but only one will have the light part.
-You'll also have a few mix and match pieces to build the handle to what you want (it number varies depending on the pieces you choose).

What I didn't like was that there is no mechanism to keep the tube in when not using it. Otherwise, it's totally a ton of fun because of the lights and sounds. And as a warning, I couldn't get my DS to stop swinging it once we got it.

-Virginia

Oh yeah as for the other things you can build, there's the traditional charm bracelets, beads and jewelry stuff you can customize too!
