Oh man, right there too. Been feeling genuinely morose lately. Counting down to July 18th, hoping and praying that life is more back to “normal” by then.
Oh, if I have to just sit in my hotel room for the entire week it will still be a breath of fresh air! I don’t count on operations being back to normal (masks, social distancing, fireworks/parades) but my parents and in-laws should be vaccinated by then, even if my wife and I are not, and that’ll be a huge load off!I am hoping the restrictions will be considerably relaxed by the summer, but "life back to normal" will likely take longer.

I think worrying about my parents health and safety has been the most stressful snd mentally exhausting part of the pandemic. I’m with you on that being a big weight off!Oh, if I have to just sit in my hotel room for the entire week it will still be a breath of fresh air! I keep making and canceling my DVC trips thinking maybe by X month things will be better/normal... nope.
I agree that it’s like a “hobby” changing my plans and booking/stalking new rooms and dates. I think all my friends, family, and coworkers are getting pretty tired of me saying “so when do you think this will all be over?”. No one understands the pressure of trying to book a Disney DVC trip in the middle of a pandemic with banking issues, cancelation rules, and dwindling room availability! It’s making me go a bit nutty to be honest!Me too!
We started with Thanksgiving 2020, cancelled.
Moved to January 2021, cancelled.
Then made reservations for March and May 2021 (shorter trips).
I just cancelled my March reservation.
Grabbed a tower studio at Riviera for August anniversary (last ditch effort to use points - would never normally go in August and never done Disney without kids but they wouldn't be able to do August).
Started booking with my next UY: 11 mo "spec" reservations as I call them...
Thanksgiving.
Week leading into Christmas.
Next up when window opens: January 2022.
Yesterday, one of my D's came home from work with a potential covid exposure. So, now I'm thinking if we were to actually get Covid right now, we'd go in March. So, I'm sorry I dumped that one as I am looking at availability.
This doesn't include the 100(?) times I've switched rooms for each of these stays Most are booked as split stays or short trips now, so I keep switching resorts as availability changes.
It's like a hobby now. But, in reality, I fully expect to deposit my 2019 banked points into RCI around July when I realize it's all a bust.

I too am going to cancel our March trip today. We have one planned for October. Ugh! It’s just so depressing. I want to go back so bad. After watching current videos, I just don’t want to wait 20-40 minutes just to get into the Mexico pavilion. Or wait to get into a store, mobile order and not be able to stroll around and have a snack.![]()
Masks and certain capacity measures (park reservations, mobile order reliance, etc...) will likely be the “norm” at WDW through the end of the year at least.I'm actually worried we will be in some weird "in-between" stage in the Fall and it will be much worse. Some people will be vaccinated and travelling freely (increasing crowds) but the virus will be "still around" enough to keep masks and distancing rules in place.
there was someone that needed a DVC vacation. It was me. The end.
