Well, technically, Alice in Wonderland isn't a traditional "fairy tale", either. So, I'm ok with the introduction of the Arthurian legend.

King Midas and his daughter (not to mention the siren in the lake) aren't technically fairy tale characters either, but it's all about magic and fantasy so it works. I'm okay with Lancelot/King Arthur being included.

They added Season 1 to Netflix in the last week or so, so I have been watching it until Season 2 comes out.

Finished season 1 on Netflix last night. This has got to be one of my favorite shows ever. I've never watched anything like this show before, so it was hard to follow at first, but once I got into it, I was hooked.

I was already big fans of both Lana Parrilla and Ginnifer Goodwin and I think they are both awesome in this show. I also think Robert Carlyle is amazing!!!

Can't wait until Sunday.

I think they said we would fine out in Episode 6, or something like that, it was in one of the recent TV guides.

Dispite what we see in the preview, that takes place outside Regina's house, I still think Dr. Whale will be a villain. The question is who?

I am watching it on Netflix, and I really like it alot.

I just finished watching all 23 episodes on Netflix and loved it! It never even crossed my mind to watch it last season, but I am so happy I caught it on Netflix! I can't wait for season 2 to start!

What else was Lana Parrilla in? She is an awesome actress!

I'm kind of thinking that, too. He's kind of got an evil look to him. Well, we know he's not Cpt Hook, I don't know why I always think of the whale from Pinnochio, but I think that is too obvious.

What else was Lana Parrilla in? She is an awesome actress!

She co-starred in a few series like Miami Medical, Swingtown and Windfall and did a lot of episodes of 24, Spin City, even a few Lost episodes. The only place I remember seeing her was Swingtown. Loved her in that show.

I also agree that Dr. Whale has to be a villain...just can't figure out who yet.

I'm looking forward to having our family tv night back. This is the only show that's on where all of us (myself, DH and DS10) can watch together and really enjoy it!

There used to be a lot of shows on back in the 1980's where families would sit together and watch (we had a ton of them). Then the 90's came along and all that went out the window. I haven't seen anything worth watching as a family until OUAT.

I read a spoiler recently that talked about Dr. Whale's alter ego in Fairytale Land and while it didn't say whether he was a villain or not, it did say that he and his family suffered a great deal at the hands of the evil queen. With that said, it does make sense as he's the one leading the mob to Regina's house after the curse is broken.
