Once Upon A Time

OR did he have this worked out with Regina to begin with, and only fake tie her up to get her on Emma's good side?

Hmm...this is kind of interesting. The only reason why, to me, is because I could see Regina wanting Maleficent to be out of the way once the so-called magic is back. Somehow, I just feel that Rumple and EQ are willing to work together to a point, but once that point is past, they'll stab each other in the back in a heartbeat. I also think Rumple's doing everything that's he's doing so he can find his son as well.

Either way, great episode. Although, it should have been two hours IMO. I agree with one of the posters who said it felt rushed. With a show like this, that so many people love, they should have devoted an extra hour for the finale.

I think that was "true love" in the bottle. Maybe FL and Storybrooke are the same place, but one with magic and one without- in order to break the curse and "bring" magic back- Rumple had to throw "true Love" into the well- remember it's true love that is powerful enough to break any curse.

I've been reading this thread for awhile and decided to post today. I have been following the OUAT Facebook page and found a OUAT Scoop page, which has led to Facebook pages for each character, they are quite interesting. Just thought I would share.

Just watched the finale!! Loved it!!

I wanted more out of the Rumple/Belle reunion!! He looks stunned at first and it was a great reaction, but then he goes off to unleash the magic and it just seemed so anticlimatic. Was "magic" bottled in that tube??? I know that Gold/Rumple pulled a fast one on Regina and Emma....because whatever was in there had nothing to do with waking Henry up...or maybe it could have if Emma did not give Henry the kiss of true love??? Maybe restoring "Magic" would have also woken Henry up.....Guess we will not know...

I am also wondering if everyone really knows who they"had" been in SB?? I mean...does Mary Margaret...now known as Snow White realize she was a teacher in SB...to me it looked like she was wandering around aimless....yet it seemed like David...now Charming....knew exactly where to go. The blue fairy/nun seemed to realize who she was and who she had been....but for others it seemed different. Not sure I am making sense here......

My theory is that it was true love. It was also magic and possibly the only magic Rumple had left. He tricked Emma into getting it for him. He had to use magic to trigger the well much in the same way Regina used her ring to trigger Jefferson's hat. The true love potion was stronger than the ring so it created a bigger reaction.

I believe Rumple is orchestrating everything because he wants power (magic is power) and because he wants his son back.

So he created the curse for the Evil Queen, and we learned that he wanted the curse because he wants to find his son and we learned his son went to the land 'without magic'. He also made sure that Snow/Charming knew how to fight the curse; with their unborn child.

Then we learned he was creating a potion of 'true love' by using hair from Snow and Charming. Then we just learned he had Charming put the potion inside Maleficent in dragon form.

We know that the 'true love' potion was Rumple's 'out' or 'loophole' for magic in Storybrooke. All part of his plan.

Well, I don't get why he'd want the curse to make the land without magic to then turn around and make it have magic. Is it because he knows he son is there somewhere and with magic he has the 'power' to find him?

So then that would mean they are staying in Storybrooke but it will now have magic, for some anyway...

Also, how in the world did he know that Maleficent would be transported to Storybrook as the dragon? :confused3

Just thinking outloud. So many questions. So many ways next season can go.

I can't wait! I can't wait to see what this new Storybrooke will be like. What the characters will be like now that they remember who they are. Will only Rumple and Evil Queen have magic? The fairies? Will all the kings/queens want to be kings and queens again? Emma and Henry will have to fit in somehow. Can't wait to see how it all plays out!!

We finally got to see the season finale tonight. We were very happy when Emma's kiss woke Henry up. I was hoping for that. We're also happy that Snow and Charming FINALLY got back together and that we weren't left hanging!

As far as Regina - I can see she really does have feelings for Henry. I also think that she's trying to fill in that void since Daniel was taken from her.

After reading through the last several pages, I noticed some DISers talking about a mysterious patient roaming the hallway. To be honest, I don't know how I missed that! I don't remember seeing anyone other than Regina, the nurse and Belle :confused3

There is something that has been puzzling me lately and that is Henry's book. I know Mary Margaret/Snow gave it to Henry, but how did she get it? Did she write it for him? And if so how did she "remember" the story?

Looking forward to Season 2!

I was wondering this too! The only thing I can think of is that August wrote it as a last attempt to tell Emma about where they came from. He couldn't find Emma so he just took it to M.M in Storybrooke with hopes that she would remember their past. I don't know...I'm grapsing at straws here. Will be interesting to find out!

LOL, yes I did, actually! How funny.

Okay, I give up. What's Murphy? :)

It's implied that August wrote the book, both the original and the "new' one that we saw him making to replace the one that was lost/stolen.

Looking forward to Season 2!

ME TOO! October is too long to wait!

Or will the new season start with Emma waking up from a bad dream? :rotfl2:

After trying to find out more about him, I guess he is the janitor, not a patient. Still, if she hid Belle down there to keep her away from Mr. Gold, it would make sense that should would hide Bae down there as well.

I never thought she had Bae- He went through the portal into another land... he wasn't under her power. At least I don't THINK he was...

Did you see the look that Jefferson gave the janitor when he put his finger to his mouth to say "shhh" as he walked to Belle? The two know each other and, while Jefferson had to drug the receptionist, the janitor was not a threat but seemed to know who Jefferson was. :scratchin

I could be wrong but I thought maybe the janitor could be one of the "lost boys" grown up?

Since Peter Pan has the ability to travel between Neverland and reality, I'm not sure it makes sense for his story to be included in this show.

Hmmm, I never picked up on the fact that August wrote the original.

I don't think we know for sure who wrote Henry's book. August took it and added some pages to it, but we don't know who originally wrote it. Or how Mary Margaret got it.

Hmm, you may be on to something....

Who is Emma?

I used to think she wouldn't have a FTL equivalent and that she was simply the daughter of Snow and Charming but lately I've been thinking that she'll be someone.

But then I think, she was named Emma in FTL and there aren't any Emmas. Hm...

I keep thinking her last name - Swan - might be significant. The Swan Princess? Swan Lake? The Ugly Duckling? That last one resonates with me when we see Emma emerge from being this tough, sort of cold character to become a loving mother who risks her life for her son.
