Once Upon A Time

She didn't ditch Henry but somehow put him in the box. I assumed it was his heart that was in the box but others on this board thought it was a mini version of him in the box. :confused3 Either way, it remains that the mushroom was able to bring him back to full size or back to life. Who are in the other boxes in the vault? Can the shroom bring them back to life?

On a side note, when Regina killed her father, didn't she stab him? She didn't just grab in and take his heart as she did for the Huntsman/Graham. I wonder why she didn't just grab his heart.

And at the end, when Regina held the ring, she spoke to Daniel to the tune of finally getting her. Do you think that Daniel would have sought revenge on SW? Shouldn't it have been revenge against Cora?

That's true about how she killed him. Whatever was in the box I'm sure we will hear the story eventually (I hope).

I tend to think Daniel wasn't so much the revenge type of guy. I definitely think Regina's rage was misdirected at Snow. Maybe she did evetually get revenge on Cora too. We haven't seen her in Storybrooke.

Regina should be THANKING Snow for getting her mom to kill off that Ugly dude!! Seriously are there no handsome men in fairytales? Seriously? Seriously!

(Okay going back to read through everyone's comments now)

ETA: So I saw some pictures of him on IMDB where he looks decidedly more handsome. I guess he needs a little of the rugged facial hair look going on.

FWIW, I thought he kind of resembled an early-1980s dark-haired David Bowie... :confused3

LOL I was thinking the same thing. he wasn't that good looking. My fave from the show was Peter and he got eaten in his first episode...lol

I was a huge fan of Graham, and then they killed him off and replaced him with the not nearly as cute August. Why?! They could easily have done a little switcharoo and had the actor playing August get killed first!

Jamie Dornan is supposed to be back in the season finale as the Huntsman. From what I read, they were trying to work him back into the script earlier but he was committed to something else.

I will apologize in advance if this has already been answered but does anyone know which fairytale character August is supposed to be.

We have a group of people at work who watch this show and there have been so many verying opinions on who he might be.

Still speculating....we've been told we'll know "exactly" who he is by the end of the season.

To sum up this thread, a number of possibilities have been discussed -- I think I've gotten most of them:

  • Pinocchio (but I'm getting the feeling that the writers are just leading us on with the clues to it...)
  • Baelfire (Rumplestiltskin's son)
  • Peter Pan
  • One of the Grimm brothers who wrote the fairy tales
  • The 7-year old boy who found baby Emma on the side of the road
  • Henry's father
  • Henry grown up (ew)

Oh, that's such good news! It will be interesting to see how they bring him back, since Regina pulverized his heart!

Wonder if this means August is Baelfire??

The question really is how long was Rumplestiltskin gone from his son, before the curse sent everyone away? The last we've seen of Baelfire, he was only a boy, so unless it's been a long time and he had the time to become an adult, I don't know that it would be him.

It certainly has to be someone that can leave Storybrooke - and from what we know so far, it seems "fairy tale" characters aren't included in that.

But I love all the theories! I hope they let us know soon.

Latest from Kristin — A supposed ‘dead man’ returns!

You will find out that someone you thought was dead is totally not in the next episode! Place your bets now, my friends, ‘cause the dead man (or woman or otherworldly being) will pop up at the end of the next episode. Also, Regina is tooootaaallly gonna sleep with someone, being the evil ho-bag she is. You know who it is, right?

How old was Baelfire? Wasn't he 13-14 when Rumple left him? If the curse took effect immediately (which we know it didn't), that would make him in his early 40s now. August is younger than that.

Actually, I have read an interview with the writers in which they state that Rumple became the dark one *centuries* before the curse was enacted...so unless there is some sort of time warp involved, August can't be Rumple's son.

I think August is Pinocchio. Of all the theories I've read, that is the only one that makes sense to me. He is the only character who could have plausibly escaped the curse and come to our world without the writers creating some wild scenario. Gepetto made the wardrobe that Emma was sent through as a baby. Perhaps he found a way for his son to escape, and Pinocchio was the boy who found baby Emma in that news article. Then he was not affected by the curse and grew up in our world only to return to Storybrooke 28 years later to help Emma believe since he was old enough to remember. August knows about the book being real, and he knows about Emma- he knows too much to not be someone who was close to the royal couple when the curse was enacted.

I'm leaning towards Pinnocchio too. Earlier in the thread someone suggested that Pinnochio could have been carved from the same wood the cabinet was made from. When he was turned into a real boy he still had the magic in his DNA. When the curse happened and Emma's cabinet disappeared maybe Pinnochio did too. He seemed to be around 7 before the curse so maybe he found Emma too. Emma could leave Storybrooke so Pinnocchio could too. Maybe being outside Storybrooke allows children to grow up. The curse was 28 years ago so that would make August 35 if he was 7 at the time. If only we knew what month it was in our world when the curse happened. My guess is it was August. He probably had to pick a more common sounding name than Pinnochio if he was going to live in our world.

Sounds plausible to me! I wonder if maybe he was named August by who ever found him?

And???? You are agreeing with me then? People find David Bowie attractive??:thumbsup2 I do actually sort of see that resemblance.

I really hope Graham is the one back from the dead, cuz we have a serious hottie shortage in Storybrook.

I didn't know that!
Isn't it August who has Rumple's knife and tries to kill him in the previews? I wonder what his motives are.

You guys are making me feel pretty good, because when I first posted the Pinocchio theory, I felt really silly. The more I watch the shows when August's involved though, the more I believe it.

One thing I've noticed, that made me stop and think in the first place, is that he always has to point out that he's not a liar, even though he has lied (I think it was the lemur comment in Red's episode) while back in Storybrooke. Plus, like others have said, what other FW character would be able to leave the town in the first place? Of course, this will probably all be proven wrong, and then I'll have to go eat some crow .
