Once Upon A Time

Watching the PaleyFest panel with the OUAT cast and writers/producers/creators, and they would not say where Pinocchio is. Hmmm.... Probably means nothing because they aren't giving away much... as you'd expect. However they did say that before the finale (of the show or season wasn't clear) that who August is and what his motives are would be revealed.

And they will do something with Ariel, but it will be season 2.

I'm guessing that was his name till he fell in love and then lost love, then became Grumpy.

Makes sense. Love the way he just knocked the power out so that he sell candles.

YOU WERE RIGHT!!!

Not my favorite episode tonight. Kind of boring except for how Grumpy got his name.

Loved the part when Belle came back. Hopefully the directors will include her often

I was a little disappointed at the tackiness of the opening scene! The fairies and clouds looked so fake, and their dresses never cease to amazing me in their sheer ugliness.

I am such a fan of this show, but sometimes the cheese factor can become a bit much. The dialogue in this episode was much the same. Oh, well...on to better things next week! Little Red Riding Hood looks like she's going to kick some booty :goodvibes

While Once Upon A Time is yet to get officially renewed, the producers and cast members of the freshman ABC hit already have their sights set on next season. That is understandable given that the fairytale series is the top-rated new broadcast drama series this season and its renewal is considered a formality. “We have some ideas for Season 2,” Once Upon A Time co-creator/ co-showrunner Edward Kitsis admitted during a PaleyFest 2012 panel discussion today moderated by TVLine’s Matt Mitovich. One element of a second season will be the addition of the Little Mermaid character of Ariel, who was alluded to on the show a few weeks ago. “It’s been challenging to pull off (this show) every week because we’re trying to balance two worlds and thematically link them,” said Kitsis, who co-created the show with Adam Horowitz. “We were never interested in just retelling the old (fairy) tales. Kitsis also revealed that all Once Upon A Time cast members were the producers’ first choice for the roles. “Everyone that we asked (to be on the show) said yes.”

Beyond ratings, Once Upon A Time also has had an impact on pop culture. During the Q&A portion of the session, an older woman stood up and addressed co-star Josh Dallas, who plays Prince Charming on the show. “I want to personally thank you for moving my almost-12-year-old granddaughter on from Justin Bieber,” she said, drawing a laugh.

I will admit... not my favorite episode. Still ranks above the story of Sydney Glass- but that isn't saying much!!

All I could think of when I saw Nova's dress was the Jellyfish dancers at DCA's Pixar Play Parade!

And I gather that all of the nun's are former fairies? And Gold really, really dislikes fairies! (Especially Fairy Godmothers!)

Does anyone else thing that Nova will be Tinkerbell? It was something about the way she was looking over the town and towards the ship..... That and the fact that she has the pixie dust. :tinker:

Isn't Tink a bit of a grump?

Seriously! All the other costuming is so good, makes you wonder what happened with the Blue Fairy, and now Nova.

Well, Tink was a whirlygig in somebody's front yard in the pilot. Or that was what they wanted you to think anyway. It would certainly be a way to develop that character if they chose to (and can get permission to the story), and it would explain Tink's grumpiness and possesivness over Peter Pan.

yeah, she was the Belle of the Bar instead of Belle of the Ball ;) I was kinda meh , too, on this episode, and no Henry :confused3..guess the kid needed a break, lol- but let's face it, they can't all be awesome. I did like Granny cutting MM/Snow a break. I wasn't crazy about the whole Dwarves hatch from eggs deal.

An ok episode last night; like others said, what is up with the fairy costumes? iheartdisney - you're exactly right: that dress looked like a jellyfish!

Nice to see some of Grumpy/Leroy's background.

And I heard Emma say at least twice (maybe 3 times) that she can always tell when someone is lying, and she knows that David isn't lying when he says he doesn't know what happened to Katherine. And yet Sidney seems to have her fooled.:confused3

I can't figure out if (a) she knows Sidney is still working for Regina and is lying when he says that he's on Emma's side so Emma is just playing along to see what happens; or (b) for some reason she doesn't know Sidney is lying to her, so she IS being used by Sidney and Regina. They made it so obvious when she said "I can always tell when someone is lying."

And then at the end when Emma was looking at Katherine's cell phone calls and saw the call to David and Regina stopped by - Emma looked really confused as to why there was a long call to David but David said he didn't talk to Katherine. If Emma knew Sidney is still working with Regina, then she wouldn't trust that list of calls - she'd be trying to figure out how Sidney and Regina managed to "fix" it so it would look like Katherine talked to David.

I think she does know. For the reasons that you already stated. Constantly reminding Sidney about her talent... It seems like she is trying to say "Look, I know you're an over all good guy. Here's an out. Tell me the truth." I think Emma really stressed this when she said something like "It's not like you're still working for Regina, right?"

Once Upon a Time Sends Prince Charming and Rumpelstiltskin to...

by Andy Patrick

After screening tonight’s Once Upon a Time, in which Grumpy’s real name is revealed (as well as how he got his unfortunate new one), plus previewing the first act of the upcoming Red/Ruby-centric hour, the show’s cast and creators took to the stage at PaleyFest 2012 to dole out the spoilers.

First and foremost: As Raphael Sbarge (Archie/Jiminy Cricket) revealed, David and Mr. Gold are headed for his shrink’s couch. “David’s got problems,” laughed Josh Dallas, Prince Charming’s portrayer. As for “the beast,” the modern-day Rumpelstiltskin “doesn’t have anyone else to talk to,” noted Robert Carlyle, who plays him.

What else came out during the Q&A, moderated by TVLine’s own Matt Webb Mitovich?

* Emma isn’t going to start to believe Henry’s tall tales anytime soon. However, Jennifer Morrison teased that at least “she’s gonna start to think something’s up. She’s [just] not sure what.”

* Kathryn’s absence will be more of a hindrance than a help to the romance of David and Mary Margaret. “It’s put David in a place,” explained Dallas, “where he feels very guilty and responsible for her disappearance.” And, although her vanishing will be resolved in short order, there’s yet another obstacle ahead!

* We haven’t seen the last of Sidney Glass or Sheriff Graham. Not only does the man in the mirror have an arc before season’s end, but the Huntsman, series co-creator Edward Kitsis reminded fans, “is still very much alive in fairy tale world.”

* Also “before we get to the finale,” Kitsis said, “we’ll be pretty clear on who [mysterious newbie August] is.” Added OUAT co-creator Adam Horowitz, out there in the webisphere, already “someone’s got it right

* The root of the Evil Queen’s hatred of Snow White at last will be revealed before this season ends. “Its complication,” noted a cryptic Ginnifer Goodwin, “is what is so beautiful about it.”

* Yes, yes, they will eventually get to the Little Mermaid. “For us,” Kitsis said, “[Ariel] was more of a Season 2 thing.”

* And, last but not least, the Evil Queen’s frienemy, Maleficent, will likely be back. “It would be a disappointment,” Horowitz acknowledged, “if we never saw her again:cool1:

I seriously hope she is and that they are not done with her story. I really like Amy Acker - DH loves her :lovestruc - so would realy like to see her back!!!!

So one of the August theories floating around is right.... now we need to figure out which one!!!

I know, right???!!!

So what have we heard?

Author of the book.
Brothers Grimm.
7 year old boy who found Emma.
Pinocchio.
Henry grown up.
Henry's dad.
Peter Pan

Anyone else?

I agree with those who don't like the costumes of the fairies. Not sure why they go with cheesy when it comes to the fairies. I enjoyed the Grumpy backstory, although it didn't offer much to the main plot this week.

I didn't think I would like Emilie de Ravin as Belle, but I was happy to see her in this episode. Hope to see her again soon.

Check out this fan's Facebook site for August. There are a lot of good theories there - the most recent being Aladdin.

This is a good article http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sho...a-time-creators-talk-mad-hatter-and-more.html

More crazy Belle? There will be, toward the end of the season.

There is a theory floating around out there that Regina throws anyone who remembers fairy tale times into the psych ward. The "there will be, toward teh end of the season" goes along with that theory as more people will remember as time goes on.

Are changes in store now that the book is back and the missing pages returned? The pages will actually tell the story of who the stranger is. "What we saw August [Eion Bailey] doing in that episode in putting those pages in the book is the first step in peeling back the onion to who this guy is and what his agenda in Storybrook is," Horowitz said. "That’s coming in the next run of episodes."

Originally, I had thought he was 1 of the Brothers Grimm. But most sources are saying that it's not the case. So, then I started to think, what kind of character could provide insight to the point that they could add to the book. Someone that can travel between 2 worlds (FT world to this one and be able to enter Storybrooke without repercussions). Then I remembered that there will be an Alice in Wonderland ep.

Just a VERY wild guess, how about the white rabbit? We already know he has a penchant for leading blondes into adventures.
