Once Upon a Time~ PART 2~

New character is being introduced!! Fan sites are speculating that it is Lumiere! My Rumple will be back......I'm not concerned!!

Lumiere will always be Jerry Ohrbach to me :sad1:

NOT happy!! Suffering from major withdrawal!!!! And acting like a teenager looking up clips on you tube of Rumple/Gold!!!!!

Love it! Lots of theories running around on fan forums too! Can't wait for March 9th!!

We just started watching this season so I got dd season 1 for Christmas; thinking that would pacify us until March. We watched the whole season in 3 days! :rotfl: Even dh was hooked and said "Go buy season 2!" I did. and we have already watched all of it. :rotfl:

Very addictive show. Can't wait for March. Glad to hear Rumple will be back, he is my favorite character. Can't wait to meet the Wicked Witch.

I don't know why shows do either. Remember the days when shows would start in September and run through May? I'm sure there were breaks for the holidays, but there were never breaks like this show has.

I was wondering if other shows do this as well. We don't watch a lot of network tv, so I don't know if this is how they do it these days.

This is a terribly simplified explanation, but here goes...

Series did used to run from September to about May, but with reruns and other things thrown in to keep "your" show on during its' time slot for the whole year. Television has evolved though, due mainly to the way we watch TV. Back in the day, you watched a rerun of your network show because there weren't too many other choices. That isn't the case today... and from a business standpoint most reruns don't bring in the advertising dollars.

It is fairly common now to break a series into mini-seasons. You hear more often "spring season" "winter finale" ... etc. I know Heroes was one of the first to follow the format.

I hate the winter break. Stupid bachelor! Lol. Going to look for the preview!

I hate that the break is so darn long- especially given the winter finale. I get the reasons, but I don't haft a like it! ;-)

Thanks for the explanation. :teacher:It makes sense, but I agree with a previous poster, I don't like it. I want my show:happytv:pirate:popcorn::

Also---for those complaining about how series are shown these days....while "how" they are shown might be different, the # of episodes are pretty much the same.

Looking on the 'net at the most popular shows 20 years ago are comedies (Home improvement, Seinfeld, Rosanne, Coach, Murphy Brown, etc....) so not quite the same hour dramas....but for those hour long popular shows that I can find from around 1994 / 1995 that were highly rated---

ER - ran 25 episodes during season 1 ('94-'95) and 22 episodes during the '95-'96 season.
NYPD Blue - ran 22 episodes during their 1st & 2nd seasons in '93-'94 and '94-'95.
Murder She Wrote - ran 21 episodes during those same 2 seasons.

So -- while shows like OUAT and others take these long breaks now-- the # of episodes being shown is pretty much the same as 20 years ago.

Any thoughts on how they will bring Rumole back??

I actually like the way they do it now with a long break in the middle and no reruns every few weeks like there used to be. I'm just going to use these next couple of months to catch up on movies.

Just finished watching 2.5 seasons in the last week and now I'm totally addicted! I was pretty devastated when I ran out of new episodes to watch just today. Anxiously awaiting new episodes! I'm gong to rewatch them all again to pass the time until march.

For everyone that is feeling a little bit of withdrawal...this pic was taken in Steveston BC (Storybrooke) this week. My friend who took it said Hook's blue eyes are amazing! :lovestruc
