You should be excited about deck 5. The verandah's are twice as big as everyone else. You will be amazed!! They are bigger because they cover the rescue boats. We have stayed on 5 before and noise was never an issue.

Well, we just moved from deck 5 to deck 6 and we're not in a balcony room anyway. We were in an oceanview room directly above Evolution and evidently the bass from the dance club rattles the room until 2am. There have been many reports of the issues from these rooms so I was really worried. DCL evidently knows all about this b/c they didn't question it at all when I brought up my concerns-they just immediately moved me. But if they want to give me a balcony room on Deck 5 I'll gladly stay on that deck.

I would say if you are worried about it I would call DCL and tell them your concerns. They seemed pretty clued into the issue when I called b/c they immediately told me they would move me. I think they realize that some rooms just aren't gonna work for certain families. The loud bass rattling the room until 2am wasn't gonna do it for us. LOL
This is where we were also. I moved us to forward, under the spa. I'm at the gym every morning anyway so now I won't have very far to go. Better to be near the gym than the food.

I was looking at the Port Canaveral webcam last night and saw the Dream and Carnival Sensation still in port. So I wonder if they came in early?

That is so crazy that people complain of the bass noise on level 5. especially when the clubs are on level 3. I feel really sorry for the people on 4.

until we sail and making sure we have enough money budgeted and saved. I am an uber planner and major worrier and we usually end up bringing money home but I always freak out just before a trip trying to make sure I am bringing "enough".
OK, this excites me and terrifies me all at once. I am going through the last minute budgeting b/c we only have 3 more pays
I know I spent around $750.00 on our previous 4 day cruise and that time we didn't even have any excursions. This time we have an excursion and a cabana to split. Luckily we have three paychecks in October so I am devoting one of those to the shipboard account. Usually I like to prepay our account but it looks like I will be using our credit card this time. You know how life likes to throw the monkey wrench in the works. We had car problems too! Every spare penny I get is going to Disney lol But I know it's the best vacaton we will ever have!
