Once I enter, can I leave & return?

Hi, this might sound stupid but I really don't know the answer. Once you enter DL or CA are you able to get a pass out to leave and come back in the same day?

Also Downtown Disney, what exactly is it? I figure it is a heap of restaurants. Can you only enter it once you are in Disney?

You can leave DL or DCA after you've entered. All you need to do is make sure you have your ticket you came in with, and get your hand stamped on the way out. Downtown Disney is a type of outdoor mall. There are some stores and restaurants, as well as the House of Blue, a movie theater and ESPN Zone for other types of entertainment. In the evenings you will find many different outdoor performers throughout the Downtown Disney district. You don't have to go to DL or DCA to enter Downtown Disney, I go quite often just for dinner.

Make sure you get your hand stamped. If you have a parkhopper you can go back and forth between the 2 parks. If you have a 1 park only ticket you can't. DTD is a shopping area. Restaurants, shops. It's nice. You can take monorail into and out of it at Rainforest Cafe.

You most certainly can leave the parks and go do other things You will find lots of people throughout the day coming and going to down town disney, back to their hotels for a nap and a swim and then coming back later to re enter the parks. Just make sure your hand is stamped and that you have your park hopper ticket. Dont worry about going back to your hotel for a swim and your stamp getting rubbed off. It took me over 8 showers to scrub off 5 days worth
