Once dining rotation is assigned, can I change character breakfast day/time only?

I am studying my options for dining rotations for California next year. I realize they may change everything entirely but if they keep it as is.

If I had PLAPLAP rotation then the character meal would be on Thursday at either 8 or 9:30, however that is the day I arrive in Cabo San Lucas at 6:00 a.m. and I'd like to get going on my exploring.

So, is it possible to keep this rotation but request to change my Character meal to either Sunday or Monday?

Or is the rotation a package deal, you take it all or leave it all?

I think the Character Breakfasts are held only on at sea days, althought the schedule may be different for the California cruises.

I agree. They will not schedule the character breakfast for a port day, so I would not worry about that problem.

It doesn't sound like a problem since they probably won't do the breakfast on a port day. However, it is possible to change your assignment. If when your server or head server gives you your tickets for the breakfast you find you have a conflict, speak to your head server. On our last two cruises, we had other things we really wanted to do at the time we were assigned for the CB. In both cases our head server made arrangements for us to be at a different seating. You probably won't have your regular serving team, but its not big deal at that meal. They always seem to have some tables availble for just this situation.
