I remember reading that there was something special that you could do at the Toy store with My Little Pony and since DD seems to now love the few she has was wondering if anyone knew what it is. We will be there in about 2 weeks. Just wondering.

At Once Upon A Toy (& maybe other places as well) you can do a "fill the box" thing like you can do with the Potato Heads. Fill a box with as much stuff for My Little Pony (including ponies) as you can. And you can usually fit a lot if you are creative about it. Cost is about $18 if I remember correctly. I will be picking up a couple of each for X-mas presents while I'm there in October.

Yes, in the back of Once Upon a Toy at DD you can do the pony boxes. I think price was what above poster said. (Same as tater heads). My neice got 2 boxes last month which she stuffed 2 ponieswith sparkly hair that were different, a bed, little rain coats, shawl type thingys, tu-tus, blankets, a table, tea set items, a popcorn cart, ice cream mickey heads (like the tater ones but pink), a ballon (like tater ones but pink), princessess hats, crowns, shoes, & brushes.

It is great and what is weird is my cats love the pony stuff too. One of my cats carries a pony that we stuck multiple tu-tus on around the house like it is her baby - so next trip we'll have to get a box just for the cats.

Remember that if you don't need the actual PONY, you can just fill the box with the accessories.

There is a large MLP display at the back of Once Upon A Toy at DD. They have lots of other pony products as well. (Most can be found cheaper at home though). The dispay at County Bounty in Toontown in MK is smaller. It has most of the same items but it shares space with the Potato Head stuff so it is harder to find things. The boxes are $18 plus tax. We found it easier to buy our DD a pony seperately and then fill the box with accessories. This is a small list of some of what we have. Princess outfits with shawls and hats (Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle). Pink raincoats and hats. Shoes, glasses, tiaras and hair barrettes with ribbons. Blankets, a princess bed, princess vanity, brushes, full length mirror, radio (that plays music) and popcorn machine. Picnic table, tea pot, plates and cups and picnic baskets. Have fun!

It is right at the back of the store, with all the "Princess" toys. It's a pretty big store, so you could miss it if you didn't walk all the way to the back. The Mr Potato Head one is obvious as it's right at the front. I imagine they are kept so seperate so all the bits don't get mixed up. There are a lot of bits!!

Thanks so much for the help. I believe we will be in the back of the store for quite a while with DD this trip. Thanks again.

Yes! Be creative about how you fit stuff in there. The girl at the counter was VERY impressed with my My Little Pony box stuffing skills. I managed to fit:

One pink pony
Every outfit, including the rain outfit
A pair of sunglasses
A Disney "balloon"
A "mickey bar"
A princess bed and blanket
A teacup
A radio
A pony brush

I think I got one more thing in there but am going blank on what they are right now. My friend's daughter should be receiving her pony today in the mail so I will ask her.

Also, in case anyone did not know this, as with stuffing the box with all accessories, you are welcome to stuff two ponies in the box if you like and less of the accessories. Whatever you can fit into the box... :)

tips to get more for the $...

1. dress your ponies
2. get more than one pony in the box
3. use every spare inch of the box.
4. save the soft stuff for last (tutus etc.)
5. stuff things between the pony's legs (brushes work well)

We got every outfit and all 4 ponies in our box. It was crammed full. Remember it can be bulging, but it MUST close. :)

We also did Mr. Potato Head. DD, 7, and I had a BALL stuffing the boxes. We spent a few hours in there!!! :)

My two favorite toys when I was younger were Mr. Potato Head and My Little Ponies. Even though I'm 21, I will be stuffing a box full of My Little Pony stuff. I will get weird looks and my friends will wonder if I'm crazy (well maybe not b/c they know I'm a total kid at heart) but I can not wait to get all the Disney stuff for some ponies. I won't play with them mind you but I will save them and give them to my daughter when I have one later in life :)

Nah, you're not crazy. I'm 24 and plan on doing the ponies too! :rotfl:
