Once again, job PD for DH (Update)

Okay, DH has another job interview today. It is for a recruiter with the Army. There are 8 people being interviewed, but the Major said there are several slots available, but would not say where. When DH put in his paperwork for it, the paperwork asked what area of the state he would be interested in working in. He put Madison, which is about 2 and a half hours from where we live now, or else every area within an hour to hour and a half of us. I really hope he gets this one, it is something that he has always wanted to do. Plus, he won't have to go overseas in November like he is scheduled to with the Air Force right now.

Well, just heard back from DH. He thinks things went well. Job would be either in Appleton or Green Bay (where we live). Only thing he is worried about is that he has an old disorderly conduct on his record from a fight he got into when he was married to his ex-wife. The charge is 10 years old and was charged out as a forfiture, not a misdemeanor. I hope it doesn't play too big of a part in the board's decision.

He just got word, he was not given the job in Appleton or in Green Bay. Needless to say, we are pretty bummed out about it. I just want him to get a job where he can be home every night. His working down in Madison every week is really taking a toll on all of us

I guess we have a little good news. He does have days available down at the base in Madison (2 and a half hours from home) until he leaves for Quater in November, and once he comes back, they may have a 12 month Title 10 job (active duty) for him down there as well. I just get bummed because I know he is working sooo hard to get a job, and I would just like to have him home every night with us!
