Once again I think...I have turned into my mother!

You know those moments when you realize you've turned into your mother even though you've always sworn you wouldn't! Well, this morning my new washer and dryer were delivered!!
I just put the towels in the dryer. These are going to be VERY busy machines the next few days.

Please tell me I haven't completely turned into my mom!

my mom knows the configuration of my kitchen drawers like the back of her hand because, with one exception - everything is in the same spot as in HER house!

odd, eh? totally freaked me out...didn't even realize I had done it that way until she commented on it!

It's not pretty, but it happens to everyone. I think we could really curb the divorce rate if the parents of the bride-to-be were required to go away on a vacation with the parents of the groom- to- be. If the mother of the bride really hits it off with the father of the groom, the marriage should work after the bride turns into her mom and the groom turns into his dad!

I actually think about this issue a lot. I met DH when he was pretty young and I couldn't stand his dad and DH wasn't too thrilled with him either. At the time, DH was NOTHING like his father. 26 years later, DH behaves more and more like his dad every day. How do I make my daughter believe that it is essential to get to know the dad because she'll be living with his clone in a few years?

I look just like my mom but boy do I have my dad's personality and traits(organized freak traits mainly). My husband is like my dad in other ways (corny jokes) and I'm like his mom. We give him the exact same "you're on thin ice" glare....he cracks up every time.
