Onboard Re-booking W/Points Question

I cannot remember if this is a perk, but I searched and can't find anything. Maybe I'm not wording it right. We are hopefully doing the Disney Dream cruise next August, we want to rebook on board and use points to do a cruise in October also. Isn't there some kind of incentive through DVC(less points or something?) if you book onboard, or you have like 5 days after you get off the ship to use those incentives. Please tell me I am not crazy, and this is/was a "real thing" LOL

You can call MS up to 7 days after the cruise ends and book a future cruise and save approx 10%. Points bookings are not eligible for the on-board credit that future cruises booked while on ship get.

Thanks, I knew there was something. Was hoping it was reduced points, but 10% is good. I mean, if we know we are doing it, might as well.
