We are going to have onboard credit from FCC attached to our stateroom. Can we have the onboard credit split up into different amounts per person or does it all just stay lumped together in one pot for everyone's charges? We have 2 families in 1 room with different excursions booked and would like to split it up if possible.

The FCC is actually already assigned to each person that was on the original cruise, based on their original individual fare, so they will be most likely be in different amounts (the first two people in a room are charged the highest fare, with lower fares for the third+ person in a room). It is non-transferrable so you'll need to call and find out the per person total.

My TA provided me the individual breakdown of FCC per person but said that if it not applied to another cruise before we sail, then it converts to onboard credit per stateroom. Its so confusing!

The FCC is per person, and any unused portion still belongs to each person. That said, once on board, all charges are made to the stateroom - not to individual persons. So, any unused credit (OBC) will become available to the stateroom in which that person is registered. It's sort of a pooling of OBCs in that stateroom, and the pool remains available as credit against any charges made to that stateroom.
