Onboard Booking for a Friend

Hi Disboards,

Ok I am getting mixed information about this. I have a friend that will be going on a cruise in December. I was going to give him $250 to do a cruise placeholder for me. Can my friend do that even though he probably not book one for himself?

Will I still get the OBB perks (10% and OBC) even though I am not on the December cruise? I think I read that I would not get the 10% deposit since it would be a place holder.

And here's another scenario, if he decides to do a cruise on a specific date, can he still book a placeholder for me?

No. He would have to be sailing on the same reservation with you on that future cruise for that to work. OBB perks are a reward for the current cruiser, not for the current cruiser's friends.
