Hi,

I have a question regarding booking onboard and then transferring the reservation to an agent such as Dreams Unlimited. I remember reading on these boards that if you transfer your reservation to Dreams you get to keep the credit and get Dream's group space price for the cruise.

One of the agents at Dreams told me that I could not get the group space price because I booked onboard......just their rebate.
Is this true or false? Anybody know? I really don't want to contact the agent again w/out the correct info. Thanks!

Hi:

When we switched our reservation to Dreams, we didn't take the group rate because it was a better deal to get the $100 Dreams rebate and keep our $200 on-board credit. You can't have the group rate AND the $200 on-board credit. So, if this makes any sense, you probably would be best to talk to someone at Dreams and figure out what is the best deal for you.

I hope that helps a little.

Good Luck.

Thanks Takemeaway,

The $200 per stateroom credit is a better deal than just the group space price....so I'm going to stay w/that. Thanks for your help....I wasn't really sure of the rules so I just wanted to make sure that I had the most accurate quote. :)

That is correct--you cannot get a group rate and the onboard booking credit. Usually it's better to have the onboard credit and the Dreams Rebate--but if the group rate will save you more than the $200 then I guess it would pay to change it over.
