We will be traveling on the Magic on the 1/3/04 cruise. The four of us love to play bingo and have a few questions. What is the cost to play. Are the markers supplied or do you purchase them, or should we just bring our own?

No markers are needed, you just fold back the numbers when they call them. Don't remember exactly, but I think it was $20- $30 per session. depending on how much you play.

When we were on the Magic a few years ago, they wouldn't let children play Bingo. I think the kids may have been able to hold the cards, but the parent had to shout "Bingo" and claim the win. I've forgotten the age limit, but it I think it was 18 or 21, like a casino. DCL is the only cruise line where I've encountered this. In fact other lines (Celebrity, HAL) encouraged the kids to play. We're on the Wonder next January. Is that still the rule?

We were on the 6/14 Eastern and here's the way it was explained to us.

Kids can play Bingo, but, should the card they are playing be a winner, they cannot receive the prize money directly from Disney. There must be an adult with the child who can claim the money from Disney. The adult can then, in turn, "give" the money back to the child.
