DH and I keep having the same disagreement about sunscreen, he says no need and I say oh yes we will all be wearing it. So please help solve this discussion Will we need sunscreen for the week of October 20:confused3.

TIA

October is a toss-up. It can be more fall-like or more summer-like. Often it is very warm because the hot Santa Ana winds blow during Sept/Oct. Last year, we ran the air conditioner during our Halloween party at our house because it was so hot outside. I'd bring the sunscreen just in case.

October is usually still pretty warm. It is also what I call a transition time for the weather so it could be getting cooler by then but I would bet on it still at least being in the 70s (if not warmer). It doesn't usually really start cooling down until mid november. Last year there was a heatwave during that time and it didn't get cool until the end of november.

So I think you're right. You'll need sunscreen. Besides "they" say you're supposed to wear sunscreen even if it isn't that sunny because the UV rays can still get to you.

It is warm, not hot. Generally at the time of year the sun is not beating down, but it's up there somewhere. Even if it's overcast, sunscreen is a good idea to protect your skin. (I am overly pro-sunscreen since my father had skin cancer, but it is always a plus to wear sunscreen if you are outdoors all day.)

I would pack it... and use it,

I always have sunscreen, we will take it with us even if it's overcast. You just never know when you'll need it. :) I'd suggest making sure you have it, you can burn even on an overcast day. Well, I can anyway! LOL
