We stayed at OKw for the first time this trip and fell in love! We have decided that we would like to buy some points there and have asked our guide to put us on the wait list for any re-sales. Has anyone else had any success with this? If so, how long did it take?!!
Thanks

We purchased our OKW resale through Pat Spell at a timeshare store. Everything went very smoothly! It seemed like it took forever, but in reality the sale went quickly.

Made an offer end of September '02
Closed end of October '02
Made first ressie November '02

I suppose 4-6 weeks for everything to be finalized. I think that is pretty quick for a resale. I know the seller lived in Florida and we are in Oregon. Used FedEx and mailed items back very quickly!

Please let me know how long your wait list takes. We're also in love with OKW. Would love some points there. Have an August UY, if that matters (more or less common?)

We visited in DVC in September when we already had a BCV master contract in the works. Toured OKW and really liked it.

Had our guide place us on the waitlist for 50 points in September upon our return and received a call in late October that they were available. I believe waitlist time was 6 weeks at the most.

My guide and QA expressed that this was extremely quick and unusual for OKW points. I was even able to increase from 50 to 65.

We now own BCV, OKW and SSR! I held my OKW paperwork (with guides approval) because I was in the process of adding the SSR points and wanted to have it notarized at the same time.
Sent back both contracts last monday and received notice that financing was approved yesterday and my contracts are in the closing process. (we paid cash for BCV)

My use year is March for all 3 contracts purchased through Disney.

I was able to bank my 65 2003 OKW points before I returned my paperwork.

DW has been on the waitlist for June OKW since November 2001 when the waitlist started. Points soon became available and in January 2002 she closed on several contracts. She stayed on the waitlist for additional points and 398 became available in December 2002. But at $84 per point and no Magical Beginings we decided to pass. She is still on the waitlist hoping when more become available MB will be offered.

I've been on the waitlist for December OKW points since early 2003 and have yet to get a call indicating that some are available.

It took us almost a year to the day. We closed on it last Feb.

Greetings,

We bought into OKW through http://www.reid4florida.com/. They are a member of BBBOnline and were very thorough and professional. There was no waiting list. Depending on how many point you want to purchase, it looked like they had at least 6 different options at OKW last I looked. We completed our transaction in 3 months and are finally going on our first trip to OKW over Xmas.

Regards,
James
