Can we bring our own tubes to use at Storm Along Bay at the BCR? I read somewhere that we'd have to pay to use theirs. Unreal!!!!

I know you can bring your own and I think you can rent several items- I'm not sure if tubes are among them.

You can bring your own, but they do however rent the tubes at Storm Along Bay.

If you bring your own tube I believe it has to be clear, so the lifeguards can see through it. The cost to rent is minimal, just a dollar or two; I believe the whole day price is $6. They are really only fun for the lazy river portion, they are too big and bulky to do much else with. When there aren't many people at SAB they close down the rental booth part and leave the tubes out for anyone to use. This happened to us a couple of weeks ago when it was rainy out and only a handful of people were in the pool. No ap discount that I know of (we are ap holders so I probably would have noticed). Many threads on this topic last year. We ended up not bringing our own clear tubes when disers said they were not allowing them. We brought "noodle chairs" that I found online for a reasonable price and were given noodles for free at the pool shop. Looked like they were "loaners" to anyone who asked. Didn't see anyone in the lazy river with anything other than their rental tubes. We're bringing our noodle chairs again in August.

No they won't, I would suggest you invest in a pump.

We were just there in May and they did inflate our tubes for us. I brought them to the same desk where you rent them and she was happy to do it for me.

I bought tubes but they are pink and gree but kind of see thru ones.
Is that what you all mean?

My tubes were pink but see through. I got them at Walgreens. We also saw some tubes that were plastic with designs. No one was ever told to take them out.

Interesting, I guess again it all depends on who is manning the desk, as I was there when they told several guests no, they did not have time to do this and would be glad to rent them already inflated.

Wow after paying what we are to stay there and have the privledge of using the pool this seems a touch rediculous. I could understand a charge say if they are not returned but a $6 per day per tube fee is unbelievable.

Thanks for the warning everyone. I'll pick up a couple clear tubes and we have a tiny pump so that's what we'll be doing.

Last year, the tubes were rentable, but noodles they gave out for free, BUT they ran out of noodles (you were supposed to return them, but I think people were keeping them). We had some pixie dust sprinkled on us when we ran into DS's friend from camp who was leaving shortly after our arrival - they gave us their noodles, and we did the same to some strangers when we left.

This year we are bringing our own noodles since DS loves bringing his huge duffle bag but it is never anywhere near full - don't want to get caught out if they run out again!

I also think it is ridiculous to pay a rental for the tubes at the resort.

I got the tubes. I don't have room for noodles!
