On to healthy living......

Hi Wilderness

Checking in....Glad to see you've been keeping up with the gym. Good job. :thewave:

Today was a bad day and I will leave it at that. I had a long post but decided to delete it. It is better off left dead for my sake.

The only bright part to this is that I barely ate anything so I am expecting a loss tomorrow on the scale. Even if it is just water, I will take it! I am not going to get to any other journals tonight (I already hit Beth's) as I really do not have any words of wisdom for anyone right now and need to go to bed to sleep this off. Thanks for listening. Good noc.

    Wilderness,

I am so sorry that you had to go through that. That you have been going through it for years. I hope you are feeling a bit better, and that you got some rest. I wish I had some wisdom for you. Do what is best for your children, and answer their questions as honestly as you can. I am sorry that DS birthday was ruined for you.

Thank you for your support despite the stress in yours. You are a good friend.

Beth

Thanks Beth. So far my kids do not know a thing and I will keep it like that for as long as I can. They are young and innocent so I will protect them. It is just a shame that is all. I will hit the gym later on today after relaxing in the sun first. Boy this weather is weird. It is more like summer than it was in the summer!

Went to the gym this am. Did 3 miles and some weights. Have been pretty OP for food (minus the piece of cake I just had;) ) but I need to work on the water intake. I am off to work. Have a good one.

Hi Wilderness,

Didn't you know that bday cake only has calories on the actual bday? If it is leftover, all calories dissappear.:p

Great job with the workout, just don't overdo it. You are still getting over that cold. Be good to yourself. I hope you have a good shift.
Beth

Hey, Beth... I had heard that about birthday cakes too! Thanks for confirming it for me!:teeth:

wilderness~ I am sorry that the last few days have been tough for you. To go through that for so many years must be difficult. Do what is best for you and your family.I pray that you are feeling better today.::yes::

Take good care of you and have a great Wednesday!

Of course it works with bday ice cream cake. Actually with ice cream cake there is a very complicated equation. Cake calories-ice cream calories divided by frosting calories. It usually comes out as negative calories. And I wonder why I am overweight. :teeth:

You should definately celebrate with your baby today. Take it easy.
Beth

I'm hoping things are looking up for you! Not sure what the problem was but I'm praying that it is getting better.

Birthday celebrations, especially for our kids, do not contain any calories whatsoever! Pizza and ice cream cake sound perfectly yummy!! ::yes::

Great job on continuing to work out! :sunny:

Hi Wilderness,

I understand what you mean about getting it all done. Our house isn't as big, but things slide in the day to day routine. My curtains and windows are desperate for a good cleaning. I've decided for my bday, I want the house cleaned top to bottom. All DH needs to do is make the call. Of course, my bday isn't until the end of January.

Have a great weekend, and don't worry about the recert. You'll do fine.

Beth

Wilderness:

I am very jealous of your help, can I borrow them? DH is supposed to be doing most of the cleaning since he's off work - but his idea of clean and my idea of clean are very different things!

I hope the school issues are getting ironed out. I understand the need to be strict, but fairness is also required! If you are volunteering, you will get a better idea of what is a good rule and what is a rule for no other reason than to have a rule. Even private schools have parent-teacher organizations. You can work to make change in appropriate ways.

Your pool is still open? The weather changed drastically around here - we will have mountain snow this weekend.

Wilderness:

I had to get fingerprinted and background checked in order to do any observations or student teaching...Here in Washington, it is required of volunteers too, even parents that volunteer on a regular basis.

I don't ever want to keep people from volunteering - but yelling at children and making them do push ups as punishment sounds a tad sadistic to me.

Snow level this weekend is 4,500 feet - base at my favorite ski area is only 4000 feet. When we head for the cabin in Island Park, ID we may be driving through snow too. I love fall weather - but it is as if it skipped us and went straight on to winter.

take care and given em' L - quite humorous for a catholic school
