On the Travel Channel today 12:30 PM EST

Yes, I've seen this episode before. All of us here on the DIS boards could've done a much better job planning their trip :)

My DD & I thought the same thing when we saw that episode! But I'll watch it again, just so I can feel smug and superior in my own Disney planning abilities. ;) Thanks for the heads up, OP!

I just noticed that Vacation Challenge is featuring a family that has to choose among Disney experiences. :confused3

THANKYOU! For posting that info......

Aloha,

isn't it frustrating when you see shows about WDW, and you're like, "NO!!! Do this instead of that, and go here to eat instead of spending all this cash on the same thing."
there was a "travel mom" on good morning america" this morning talking about theme parks, and she was saying that you can get pizza at a spot in DL, which is such a great break from burger and dogs. all i could think was, what about fresh fruit and other items that are better than pizza!
is it possible to start our own planning video to send out?

Yea, lets make a video- WDW done right...by the DIS'ers :cheer2:

Now that I think about it, forget the video. I don't want the whole world to know our "secrets" here.LOL

I'm glad that I switched the VCR to taping the Indians/Angels' game this afternoon on ESPN instead of the Vacation Challenge program! As much as I like watching Disney shows, I'd much rather watch my Tribe than watch a family that struggles with the planning of their trip!

better to watch Chief Wahoo than a bunch of Yahoos.

That family was pathetic......Who picks POfQ over the Poly or AKL when the money is not a factor.........??????

i agree i thought they did a lame job !!

I too was totally disappointed when they picked POFQ over AKL or Poly. What were they thinking? Plus, the TAs could have chosen things like a fireworks cruise, planning character breakfasts, or eating at some of the fine dining restaurants. They just barely skimmed the surface of the great things to do at WDW. I was glad they got to see La Nouba though. It was one of the highlights of our last vacation.

That first TA was giving out wrong info. The little girl asked if she could "drive" her own Test Track car. He kept saying she could drive it. I think he misunderstood her.

I didn't get the whole point of the show. Were they limited to just those activities? If not, then it was a show about which hotel? Why send people to WDW and tell them to only experience 2 parks and only a few attractions at each park?

I was watching it this afternoon and felt sorry for them, they are COMPLETLEY out of the loop!! The father asked if they needed coupons to ride the monorail from the poly to MK!! It looked like they had a good time, but they also didn't look so interested in the whole thing at the beginning of the show. The father was the only one who looked like he was really into it.

I tivo'd it and watched it when I got home from work - did anyone else want to scream when they showed the POR sign instead of POFQ sign - also the TA said that they could stay in mansions - where they stayed was not the mansions it was defiantely POFQ!! Also I would have gone with the AK trip (but I am a little partial since I just got back yesterday from there!!)
