My step-daughter is here every other weekend. She is just 13, but loves to scrap with me. She emptied out her bank account to purchase her CM supplies. I'd like to buy her a tote for Christmas, but she won't need anything huge. I'm thinking of the CM one for myself, but she'd get by with something to hold her 12x12 album and papers and a few stickers/tools/supplies. Any idea's or would the CM carry all be a better choice for her?

When I looked at the CM tote a couple of years ago I felt it was specifically designed for their tools (rightly so!) so if she has CM stuff that would be a good bag.
I have the crop in style jr. which I take to crops and it has enough storage for a beginner. My niece has a nice bag but I can't remember who makes it. It's available at our walmart and is a dark blue color and quite roomy.
The Zag that Bev has posted is the least inexpensive and I've thought about getting it for my daughter.

They recently redid their stuff, and the CM carry All is pretty big. More along the lines of the Crop In Style Jr, but it actually might hold more stuff. It would be a great one to start with, and grow with. It depends on how many tools she has. Another option might be the album tote if she doesn't have that many supplies. I would be concerned about her throwing in her supplies into the bottom and putting other stuff on top of it though with the Album Tote. The Carry All has a bunch of side pockets that would eliminate that problem. So, either one of those would be great depending on the amount of tools that she has or will have soon.

Does anyone have the crop in style jr? I tend to travel light and very lightly so I was thinking this may the best type of tote for me. I have seen them at Micheals for 59.00 and if I get it with a coupon it could be a great deal! I like to just take the pages I am working on so I don't want/need anything to big.

They just redesigned the crop in style JR! It now has wheels and a telescoping handle! I saw it on Ebay! That to me would be nice! I have it with out wheels and it just isn't working...plus I now have so much stuff!

When you are thinking totes, think wheels. Once you put in paper, a few punches and the most basic of tools they can get pretty heavy. If you tote your album with you it really gets heave.

I really like my XXL Crop in Style tote. It has lots of compartments and pockets. The inside area can be rearranged with the Velcro dividers to accommodate specific size albums or supplies if needed. I have a variety of CM and other tools and I have no problem finding spots for each of them.

I purchased the generations "create-a-bag" for my scrapbooking supplies. It is a very roomy bag and costs around 90.00, which I purchased at 1/2 price. It has a regular handle for carrying and extended handle for toting with wheels.

Needless to say, my scrapbooking supplies have outgrown the bag. I now use it just for my disney supplies.

For home, I purchased 2 of the Iris stations on wheels. It has like 6 compartments that I use for stickers, die cuts, etc. It's great because I can wheel it around to whichever room I decide to scrap in. I also bought a file station on wheels that I put all my paper in (hanging folders) and can wheel it around as well.

Since the generations bag is so big, I wanted something simpler to take to crops. I then purchased the Creative Memories Album Tote. This is a nice bag that will hold your album, some pages, paper, cutting system, stickers, etc. It's just the right size for the quick outing.

You may decide the bigger bag is better, but they do get very heavy, even with wheels, when you need to lift them. Also, it does become full quicker than you think. I thought I would never fill mine up and I did. Once you get so much scrapbooking supplies, you may want a simpler bag for taking to the crop shops with the page you are working on and maybe a few others. That's what I soon realized and thought I would share with others before making such a purchase.

I have the CIS Jr. I bought it at Michaels w/a 40% off coupon, so it cost about $26.00. I bought it because it's one of the smaller totes (I don't go to crops) and I needed something to take my supplies in when we go camping and (God willing!) to CKU next year. It has divider sections, pen holders, pockets, etc.

Spinning, are you sure it was the Jr. you saw on ebay? They do make an XXL tote that sounds like the one you described. I'm trying to figure out why they'd put the Jr. on wheels w/a handle, 'cuz it's so small already....... Just curious!! :)

OOPS! IT was the crop in style LX. It doesn't look much bigger than the JR!~ Even though I wouldn't mind my JR on wheels! It ways a ton!

LOL! I'm sure mine will, too, once I load it up! ;)

All those out there looking for totes, I bought one by Generations at Sam's Club for $50.00 recently. It has lots of pockets for stickers, room for 1 or 2 books, depending on how much paper you're carrying. They have the same tote at Michaels' craft store (at least here in NY) for $110.00. I have 2 and like them very much. Also, Current Catalog (mail order company from Colorado) has several totes in their catalog and online(currentcatalog.com, I think.) Good luck in your searches!!

I'd say the CM album tote....or see if your consultant still has an old Memory Mate bag hanging around. If she doesn't I bet she could find someone who does. Its a great size for a beginner, though I love the new stuff for those of us with everything!

If you do go for the album tote, I think a few of the new MM cases would work well in there as well, to hold the smaller things like cutting blades and adhesives.

If she's really just needing something for papers/stickers an accessory binder would be the way to go....or a file mate.
