I have been sent out this weekend to check out Coco Key Water resort.
Our trip here was short and uneventful, the usual cries from Grace to change the radio and from Stella asking when we will get there. (Max stayed home to take care of my Klaus and the other critters).
Check in was quick and painless, everything was ready, we were issued our wrist bands for the water park and our room keys and off we went in search of our rooms. This resort has a tower and also building with outside doors like POP has. We are in the tower, facing IDrive.
The girls have a great room with 2 queen beds and our connecting room has a King with a huge sitting area with sofa, chair and desk area.
We decided to eat here at the resort restaurant. Tradewinds is open for Breakfast and dinner on week ends and Breakfast everyday. The Buffet was small, but good. Friday is Italian night. $11.95 per adult and both girls ate for free. Total was just under $30!!!!!! Deal of the day!
After dinner Stella and Kelvin headed down to the water park and had a blast! Several of the slides were alittle intimidating for Stella, but there was plenty of other things to do.
I stayed in the room trying to figure out how to get this cool sofa in my car. The decor is so funky!!!!! Bright colors, cool lines.... I feel like I am visiting the Brady Bunch.... only updated.... If that makes any sense.
Free internet is a great perk. and the best thing is....... Dr. Pepper in every vending machine... and the restaurants!!!!!!! truly a wonderful thing for me!!!!
Tomorrow I am on a mission to see how long it takes to get to the parks and to check out this area. There is alot happening on I Drive and I need to check it out.
Right now Grace and I are headed downstairs to check out the little room with the treadmill and other machines of torture.... just to look, mind you..... I hear there is a Dr. Pepper machine in that area............
Later gator,
T.
