On the phone with Apple customer service.

I always dreed having to call the computer tech people because you never know where exactly the call is going to be picked up from.
 
I hate that and I am so emarrassed when I have to keep asking them to repeat themselves and still understand nothing. :confused:

I recently called Lillian Vernon (I did not have the catalog) to place an order (one item). I wanted to hang up on the lade after about 15 minutes of getting nothing accomplished. If she did not have some of my personal information I would have. I wanted to scream, is there anyone there that speaks English. I don't think they should be in customer service. I felt like it was my fault. Very, very frustrating.

Now that I think of it, I should send them a nice letter.
 
I know I may seem "weird" but I actually like talking to the people from India to help me with my computer. I always let them know from the start that I have a hard time understanding them...and they usually are pretty understanding with me. One person, I think it was Microsoft of Linksys even sent me a really nice email afterward saying it was nice working over the phone with me etc etc....
 

Last time I had to call Apple I asked the gentlemen on the phone where he was and he told me NOVA SCOTIA!!! I was shocked but he said they had a pretty big call center there. I was amazed
 
lol, i've always gotten someone that spoke "good" english on the phone for Apple. But whenever I call the phone company or microsoft I get transfered to India. I ask over and over again to repeat it because I didn't understand, they start to get angry, and many of them have spoken down to me because I am a woman. Makes me angry.

(In no way am I attempting to be offensive by saying them and they.)

I think quite a few companies have call centers in Nova Scotia. United Airlines has one there and also in India.
 
It is shocking how much less it costs to provide customer service from India, even after factoring in lost business from people being unsatisfied with it. :sad2: I'd like to think I'd be willing to pay more for more readily comprehensible customer service, but I suspect those who are are few and far between, in the mass market.
 
I've never had a problem with Apple customer service. Now Dell is a different story. :rolleyes: :headache:
