Where can I get sushi at WDW? I think I read once that Sunshine Seasons sells sushi...

Sunshine Seasons and Yakitori House both have when I'd call "supermarket sushi". I don't care for it when there are fresher alternatives.

You can get better sushi at:

California Grill at the Contemporary resort(expensive, but good)
Kona sushi bar at the Polynesian resort (open only at dinner hours.)
Tokyo Dining and Teppan Edo
Wolfgang Puck Café (Downtown Disney West Side, not Marketplace)
Kimono's at the Swan resort (again, dinner hours, maybe 5pm-ish; becomes a karaoke bar later)

That's what my brain is coming up with at this late hour. I think Kimono's has the best variety and more traditional offerings. The first two I listed have limited but creative offerings.

Kona has amazing sushi and is only a short monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom at the Poly.

For Kimonos they don't accept DDP but you could go to Restaurant.com and buy their certificates. Usually they have coupon codes available so $25 cert can be bought for $2~3. Great saver.

Cali Grill has some of the best Sushi i ever had in my life second only to when i was in Hawaii

Loving the sushi tips! Thought about trying Teppan Edo last time, but we ate at the UK while we were at Epcot..

The Spicy Kazan Roll at The California Grill is something that keeps me going back to that restaurant on EVERY trip!!! Don't forget to look for the baby scallops hidden in the sauce in the middle of the plate. They melt like butter in your mouth.:worship:

Tokyo dining has the best sushi I've ever had!! Me and DH love sushi and go to many places here where we live but the sushi at TD is the best!!

Our kids have just gotten into sushi big time. We had some at Yakitori House on our last trip and that really lit the fire for them. We've taken 2 sushi cooking classes at a local cookware store, so they are learning to make their own sushi. My daughter and I are headed to WDW the end of June and will be trying Tokyo Dining for the first time. She also mentioned the possibility of stopping at the sushi bar at Kona. For our family trip this coming January I'm thinking either Tokyo Dining again or Kimonos. I'm glad this was posted because I was unaware that Wolfgang Puck Cafe had sushi as well. ::MinnieMo

The pre-packaged sushi we had at Yakitori House was horrendous. That was our only Disney sushi experience. I highly recommend you go somewhere that it is made to order.

DH loves the sushi at Cali Grill. I am a vegetarian and like vegetarian sushi. We have a reservation for Wolfgang Puck Cafe in July, because I saw they have vegetarian rolls on their menu at allears.

How does the sushi work at Kona? Can you order sushi when you are seated at a regular table in the restaurant? We are going to be on DxDP and was curious what/if you can order any sushi on that plan.

TIA!

You can choose to sit at the Kona Island Sushi Bar which doesn't take ADR''s, then you are given their Sushi and the dinner menu for the Kona Cafe.

It's the same process at Kona Cafe where you are given their dinner menu and their Sushi menu. The difference is over there you can make an ADR when going to eat there for dinner.
