? on Spectro Magic

My mom was at MK on May 8 and saw Spectro Magic (something I've never done!!!). In any case, she didn't recognize one of the characters, and I couldn't identify it from her description.

She said the float started out looking like a volcano and then the volcano opened into a type of dragon-like creature with wings. I have no idea what she saw. I managed to find a picture of it (a dark picture because it was all red lights) somewhere on the internet, and I must admit, I'm baffled. It looks like it could be Maleficence (sp?) when she turns into the dragon Prince Philip slays, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know what character my Mom is talking about?

I think his name is Chernabog. He is from the original Fantasia film. I think he's a mountain more than a volcano.

Yep, that's the very scary Chernabog from the NIght on Bald Mountain segment of the original Fantasia.
