On-Site Hotels Booked Solid?

Hey All!

I am usually a planner- but every once in a while I go crazy and become super spontaneous! Husband suggested going to Universal for the three day weekend.

I checked rooms yesterday and there were still some available options. I tried to book tonight and it is showing absolutely no availability to any on-site hotels including with the APH discount. I tried directly with the Loews website as well as through Universal.

I even called and the rep said they were completely booked solid. I did get a hit from Travelocity- but it was for like $350 a night for Friday-Monday.

Anyone ever score a room a day out? Rep told me to keep trying as things may change in the next few days. Any advice or times to stalk the website for openings?

Crowd Calendar seems like Universal wouldn't be too terrible this weekend- but I can't imagine not staying onsite for the express pass.

It could be due to Monday being a holiday and some schools last day is Friday and their summer breaks start

check the website a few times during the day.
and, also call frequently in case you can catch any cancellations.

i have a stay booked for october, did that in the first week of february.

some of my dates were not available, totally booked.

by calling and checking the website i have been able to add dates to my reservation.

i got them by a fluke.
someone canceled and i was able to get the room to extend my stay.

now i only need one more night to book and my planned stay is complete.

good luck in getting the 3 days you need at a reasonable price.
i know how frustrating it is to keep on checking daily for openings.

YAY! After checking for two straight days a King room at Royal Pacific popped up for $199.00 a night! Got it for Saturday-Monday!

Does anyone know if you have to show the annual pass when you check in? Or just sometime during the stay? We are driving overnight tonight- and hope to get there around 7am tomorrow. Obviously the room will probably not be ready- but we want to hit up the parks as soon as we get there!

Thanks!

You can show it anytime during your stay.
