On Site Hotels and birthdays

Does anyone know if Universal/Loews do anything for an childs birthday, eg balloons in room/ birthday card etc like disney would normally do.

It would be my DD 6th Birthday on christmas day during a possible stay and my DS 8th Birthday next year during a stay.

You can arrange something with the concierge. You may have to pay, depending on what you select. They have small trinkets available they give to kids upon check in and at turn down. They may have something for birthdays as well.

We were just there for DD's birthday and had it noted on the reservation. Nothing special was done.

We were there for my daughter's 10th birthday in March. I mentioned it when we booked our room and again at check-in. We went to the parks and got back late our first night - waiting there in the room was a basket with all kinds of candy, a Woody Woodpecker drink mug and a small stuffed animal (sorry, I can't remember which character it was). Our daughter was thrilled and there was no charge for it!
