Does anyone have any recommendations for hotel restaurants? We are booked into RPR for 2 nights from 12th July and plan on enjoying RPR facilities on 13th and eat in one of the hotels restaurants. Nothing too fancy as it is me, DH, DD(14) & DS(10). Having never stayed on-site we don't really know anything about the hotels/restaurants etc :confused3

Thanks,
Tracey :)

There are a few options at the RPR.....and every one of them lovely :thumbsup2

Tchoup Chop is probably the most expensive and gets good reviews. We however were unlucky and it wasn`t the meal it should have been. I would still go back though but DH and DS didn`t like it.

The Islands and Jakes Bar on the ground floor are both fantastic. Plenty of choice and very nice feel about them. Depending on what night you go, there may be some characters appearing at the restaurants. Could be Scooby and Shaggy, Simpsons or Shrek and Fiona. They`re not there every night, but you can find out when you`re there.

Upstairs at night Orchids Lounge is a sushi bar and it is fantastic....one of our favourites at RPR. This is also where you can get something quick in the morning if you didn`t want the buffet breakfast downstairs in the Islands. Everything from croissants and pastries to fresh fruit and cereals. And very reasonably priced.

The Bula Bar at the pool is also very nice. Some of the best food we`ve ever had at a poolside bar.

I`m sure you`ll enjoy whatever you decide to do :)

And remember that you are a short walk or boat ride from City Walk for even more dining options.

I really like Jake's Bar. I believe it opens at 3pm. Jake's version of chicken wings (Jake's Wings) are pretty good. In the evenings, they usually have some form of entertainment: a live band on some nights, and karaoke on other nights.

We always eat at The Islands a few times when staying, as the food and service is first class, they have a Buffett for the kids if they prefer it, and we always have one of our meals when Shaggy & Scobby are there.
Jakes is Ok but not our fav place but the foods ok, we usually have lunch most days at the pool from Bula Grille, as the food here is very good.
Do not forget to print some coupons of for Citywalk restaurants, and The Islands you get a free glass of wine or a beer, and other resorts restaurants

Thanks very much for all the replies. Sounds like we can't really go wrong no matter what choice we make. The kids really eat like adults now and tend not to go for the kids meals and DD just loves sushi.

Robert, cheers for the coupons tip - will google that now. Greatly appreciated by another Bangorian :thumbsup2

Tracey :goodvibes
