On Site Hotel and Entertainment Book Questions

Thank you to all the frequent posters for the information; you have been extremely helpful in helping for me in formulating opinoins and strategies for my upcoming trip.

Several questions regarding use of the Entertainment book and PBH and HRH generally:

1) Can one make a reservation for an Entertainment book rate in 2002 prior to the issuance of the 2002 card in the fall?

2) I couldn't find specific Entertainment book blackout dates at the website. Can one get the entertainment book rates during shoulder prime time (i.e. the weekend before Easter weekend)?

3) Is there a limit on the number of rooms per card? My wife and I will have 5 kids for this next trip, so we will need two rooms.

4) Do either/both hotels have adjoining rooms?

5) Do either/both hotels offer multiple room family discounts?

6) My kids will range in age between infant and 9. Which hotel would you recommend?

Sorry I took the abbreviations for granted. I meant Hard Rock Hotel and Portofino Bay Hotel.

I will try and answer some of your questions:
1) The entertainment rates are not out yet for 2002. If you absolutely want to go at a certain time next year, you should make your reservation and then call back frequently about switching to a discounted rate.

2) It is up to the hotel as to how many rooms they will offer discounts on and whether they will give discounts during holiday or peak periods. You may be able to get something the weekend before Easter weekend. But I would absolutely get the reservations now and check back for discounts.

3) Yes, I booked 2 rooms using the entertainment rate for this November.

4) Yes, both hotels have some connecting rooms. This is not guaranteed. Make your request while making your reservation and call hotel a week prior to stay.
