on-site groceries?

Hello,
We are staying at the RPH for 7 nights in February. We have never stayed on-site before and haven't been to US for about 9 years. I can't wait! I have 2 questions for all of you. Since we are considering not renting a car, and just getting a shuttle to/from the airport, is there a store at the Royal Pacific that will have limited grocery items such as milk, fresh fruit, breakfast items, sunscreen, etc.? I thought with the money saved on the car we would go for the fridge in the room. It's $15 a day, right? That way we could save some money on breakfasts as long as I could but milk and fruit(I can bring my own cereal). If there is not one at RPH how about HRH, PB or Citywalk?
My other question is, does the RPR offer a shuttle service from the airport? I would feel better booking something like that directly with the hotel instead of using a car service I am not familiar with. If there is, do you know how much (there are 5 of us) and do I call the hotel directly to book?Thank You, you are all very helpful!

Every morning, there is an a la carte style breakfast where you can purchase the items you mentioned. It is in the bar area on the main level. There are also two small stores where you can purchase non-food items and snacks.

You can talk to the conceirge about booking any transportation once you get there. They do not have their own shuttle service though.

I'm really cheap so we took a collapsible cooler with us and stocked up. We did have a rental car. You can call ahead to find out how much a taxi might be for a trip over.

Have you considered upgrading to club? The cost of your groceries combined with the cost of the fridge will get you more than half way of the cost of the upgrade.

If you book a car service, many times they will include a stop at a grocery store as part of the service. We used CBC Transportation when we went in August and the price included a 20 minute stop at the Publix store, that is like 2 miles from RPR. I was very happy w/ their service: driver was prompt, pleasant and courteous. They were also slightly cheaper than some other places. But you would need to know exactly what you wanted to get because it is only a 20 minute stop. It is worth considering. Have a great time.

There is no place at HRH to really get a lot of supplies. They have a small ice cream parlor/breakfast store that sells cereal, milk, coffee, etc for quick breakfast but the prices are extremely high. You would be better going to the Publix down the street. Even if you take a shuttle from the airport, it would still be cheaper to get a taxi to and from Publix than purchasing the food at the small breakfast areas.
