...I didn't take issue with anything?
I understand that just because a CM says something it doesn't necessarily mean it's official policy. I knew that well before I asked. That's the entire reason why I asked - I have no way of knowing if other people have been told this same thing, or if this is something new they're just starting to implement, or if the CM was just making things up, so I asked. I had one report of it, so I was inquiring if there had been more reports of if. There are people on these boards that would know better than others (better than myself) if it actually is policy, or if it's not, so I put my question out there for someone with insight to address.
Because of that, I didn't find the response of "Again, we don't know if it is something new and/or official or just something a CM said" to be necessarily helpful, because I already know we don't know that. Not knowing that is why I was trying to see if there was someone on the boards who does know one way or the other. But I realized that you don't know me and may not know that I already knew not to take every thing I hear from a CM as cold, hard fact, so I clarified.
Mesaboy2's response of "I'm confident this is incorrect" led me to believe he has some knowledge of the internal policies (possibly by being a CM?) and actually knew for a fact that this is not policy - and thus validated that this is not policy, new or old. If that's not the case, and he was just chiming in with the verdict he reached based on logic/common sense, then I retract my previous statement about his response being validation, as I had already reached the same conclusion based on only hearing one report of a seemingly negative policy change - if in fact it was a policy change.
Tl;dr - I thought mesaboy2 was familiar with the policies and validated that this is *not* policy. If that's not what he was doing, then it seems we're back at square one, and I retract my comment about him providing validation, since that's not what he was doing.
