Are there bracelets taht the front desk gives for guests at pool and hotel?

going in two days, just curious. thanks!

We have never gotten a bracelet for the pool any time we stayed at the poly.

are you staying there? or just planning to use the pool? LOL:)

I've stayed at poly prob 50 times and never gotten a bracelet... last visit was in October 10... nothing then either. they do you give you leis to wear.... if they are giving out bracelets now that just started!

I just saw a report in the past week on a different board from someone who just returned and said they were checking IDs at the pool @ the Poly -can't remember if she said bracelets or not. She said it wasn't that crowded either.

And I also saw this mentioned on the Tikiman blog last fall sometime - around November that they were checking KTTW cards now. We haven't been there since that time.

We last stayed at Poly on Halloween & they did check for KTTW cards & issued bracelets. That was the only day of the whole stay that they checked, and we were at the pool almost everyday. IMHO I'm glad they check & wouldn't mind if they did everyday.

I think that the location of the pool is beautiful but not exactly sure what makes it worth hopping to? The slide is cool, but there aren't a lot of places to sit and the pool is kind of small.

Pools at the MK resorts tend to attract day guests who want to take a break from the parks. It's not hard to hop the monorail or a ferry to take a dip. Disney does a very poor job of enforcing the "resort guests only" rules at their pools other than BLT and YC/BC.

we stay at poly. i'm not going to swim where i'm not staying.

We were there in October of this past year and had one day where they came around giving out bracelets. She just asked us to put them on though, she never asked to see our KTTW or anything. Our room was right across from the pool though on ground level and we had been going back and forth frequently. Don't know if she had just noticed that or what. I think I did see her ask another group to see their ID's though.

ETA: I didn't think that the pool area was that crowded that day. Not more than any other day anyway.

thanks all.

just wondering if i get bracelets for kids when i check in to the Polynesian.

not that it matters but I'll just get for all the days I'm staying so not to keep going up to desk and standing on line to request.

If they are doing bracelets, you wouldn't get them at the desk - they give them out at the pool, the lifeguards do it. And they do them "by day" with a different color each day (that is how it is done at SAB, so I'm sure they would work it the same). So you wouldn't get pool bracelets @ the desk when you check-in for your entire stay. Just make sure to take your KTTW card(s) with you when you go to the pool.
