On overload, so many changes, help!

I have not been to any Disney parks in about 3 yrs. I am a well seasoned veteran but am on overload with talk of wrist bands and pre-booking fast passes, and whatever else has changed.
Is there a sticky or someplace that outlines all the new things with tips etc?

We are going to the Food and wine Festival for the first time in November.

Thank you so much! That is exactly what I was looking for! You've been most helpful. We have been going to Disney for the last 26+ years, but took a break now for a couple. I sure liked the way it was "way back when"...but still love the "magic".
