On our weigh and bringing Tagalongs ~ Sept '14 PTR ~ UPDATED 9/8 x2

I'd go with movies you find a lot in the parks, like Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, and Dumbo. And of course, Frozen!

With Little Mermaid, you could go to an aquarium or a pet store with fish and maybe even pick one out...? For Dumbo, maybe you could put together your own "circus" ("tumbling", jokes, a pet parade, a circus tent in the living room?) and put on a show for a family member. And for Frozen, you could maybe freeze ice cubes in a bunch of different flavors and make multi-flavored drinks (like lemonade ice cubes put in fruit punch, or apple juice ice cubes put in grape juice).

I can't see what the activities are, so I don't know if I'm in the same vein or not!

Thanks I agree that they should be movies you see a lot in the parks. I just was having trouble narrowing it down but Frozen was definitely on my list!

I typed up the activities underneath the picture so that it may be easier to brainstorm.

Thank you again!

Hi Rachel!

Following along with your PTR too! Happy belated bday to you as well :)

It looks like a lot of our days and parks are the same.. Maybe we'll run into eachother!

Sorry I have been missing a few days; my cousin was in town for a visit and it was nice to catch up. Unfortunately, her boys caught a cold from her dad and now Cinderella and I have it to. :( Also, I am having a Jamberry nail party tomorrow so I spent all morning disinfecting my whole house. I am not one who normally goes over board about germs but I may have this time; I used 1 big bottle and 1 travel size bottle of lysol and 1 container of Clorox wipes.

Just a quick vent tho... why do people not respect the rules of the house they are visiting or at least respect my stuff? :confused3

We also take care of everything we own; we try to keep everything looking great and almost like new especially our house since it was brand new when we moved in. I guess we are strict but we have DD take care of her toys. We also expect her to listen and do what we or another adult tells her to do. She also knows she isn't supposed to run in the house. It just shocked and surprised me the things my cousin let her 3 year old boy get away with. When she left I found a bunch of orange spots all over the carpet in the office where she stayed. :sad1: I dunno but thanks for letting me vent!

Well I have been meaning to show you all my Disney Countdown, I just kept forgetting to take a picture.

I got the idea for pinterest and use dry erase markers to change the number. DD loves it, she always ask how many days we have left.

We received some Mickey Mail the other day our Magical Express stuff came in!

I decided on the other 5 movies and activities with a lot of help from my sister!

I have lots of projects I am working on and I can not wait to share them. :goodvibes Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Your ideas are awesome! I love that there is something for every day.

I understand your frustration I also have a hard time when people are staying at my house and they do not abide by the same rules that I have set. Feel free to vent!!:)

Wow. I love those ideas. I don't think I could get my kids to do that anymore but they all sound so fun. I felt my excitement growing for each day I read. You are going to have a blast.

Thanks, I am excited about starting it today!

Thanks it always helps to vent.

Thanks for joining in!:goodvibes I excited to start today! Yea that is one good thing about DD still being little, I can get her to do things like this.

I agree with you about the houseguests. I get a little uptight I admit when I have guests over sometimes because I just don't know if they're going to trash the place or not. I would have HAD to say something about the orange spots you found!!

Wow, the 30 days til Disney would have been so fun to do as a kid. Something to keep you engaged in what's happening on the countdown. You'll have to let us know if you get all of them done!!

Thanks, it is nice just to have a safe place to vent.

I am planning to take pictures and post after each movie and the activities that goes along with it.

Our Magic Bands came in!!!!!

They actually came in yesterday, but with a lot of real life stuff going on yesterday, I didn't have time to post.

I was excited that we were able to get the DVC sliders as well!!! Horray!!!! :goodvibes

We were planning on decorating them but now. Becky and Sally aren't sure now. I will be painting mine with glow in the dark nail polish but that maybe it. Cinderella's however, we got these today and I will be attempting to customize hers.

Of course if I mess up, I have this back up for her.

James and I also have these as our backups if we lose the others, so I will be taking them all.

I am just so excited!! 26 days!! :goodvibes

We started our 30 Day Countdown to Disney and our first movie and activities was The Little Mermaid. I also made a list that we could check off and hang it on a magnet board in our kitchen.

Day 30 ~ Cinderella and I watched the movie

Day 29 ~ Learn the song "Under the sea" to sing along on the ride.
We did this using the crakeoke feature on the bluray.

Day 28 ~ Write down what you would like to ask Ariel.
Cinderella told me and I wrote it down. I will probably end up typing them up and lamenting it so we can take it and date it and have it as a souvenir.

She wants to ask "What is your favorite food?"

So far this has been lots of fun! I am looking forward to all that is planned! :goodvibes

The movie, singing and questions look like so much fun!

Yay :yay: for the Magic Bands!! I decorated mine and I can' wait to wear them at the parks!

Love the magic bands! Ugh, can't wait to get mine!

Looks like the countdown is going well. Did you actually learn the words to Under the Sea? :)

That's cute that Cinderella wants to know what Ariel likes to eat! I think it's good for kids to go in prepared for the character meet and greets because so many get shy!

Thanks!

I already knew the words after many years of watching Disney Sing Along Songs :thumbsup2 videos but it was a good refresher. Cinderella did learn most but not all.

She used to be so great with characters when she was 1 and 16 months. Then our next trip when she was 2 1/2 she will go up and big hugs but will normally talk in a very low voice so I am trying to get her used to talking to them . I am hoping having questions she wants to ask them will help her talk a little more. Her favorite characters she gets always star struck she just smiles super big and is in awe.

Day 27 ~ Watch Beauty and the Beast

(She was tired, we had a really long day this day.)

Day 26 ~ Read a book from your library

Day 25 ~ Make a Rose to give to Belle (Do you think they will let her give it to her? If not we will give it to someone special)

Aw Beauty and the Beast is a favorite of mine. :cloud9:

They will definitely let you give Belle the rose!

We had a busy weekend as friday was my Best Friend and one of my sister's birthdays!!!

Saturday my sister came over and I gave her present which was a card with a note explaining that our mom and myself would be buying her a fish extender for her birthday! She was so excited!! She also dropped off my niece to stay the night. Woohoo!! She will be starting high school this fall but I really hope she never gets to old for me cuz I love that girl!!!

Sunday my sister and her husband picked up the girls as she was watching Cinderella for us, so we could go on a date night with my best friend and her husband for her birthday!!! We went to Rock Bottom Brewery for dinner (SO GOOD!!) and Dave and Buster's for some game time fun!!!

Best Friends

It was so great to celebrate!
