Sorry I know there have been a lot of posts about Napa Rose lately.....and I have read through them all and I still have questions that I'm hoping you guys can help me with.

First off if DH and I dine here I'd want to be seated at the Chef's table....I've seen people post about seats 5 and 6? What are these? Are they more special?

Second If DH and I ask the chef to create a menu just for us off of our likes/dislikes what do they charge for this?

Thirdly would it be ok for DH and I to wear shorts and t-shirts from the park? I'm not sure we're going to want to go back to the hotel and fancy up....

And Finally....Neither DH or I drink wine, so we would either order off the menu or get the Vintners menu but without the wine options. Is this still worth going to this restaurant? Also which would you choose between the two?

Thanks for your patience!

Seats 5 and 6 are in the center and they are the best seats for overlooking the real cooking action in the kitchen.

Chef Sutton created a menu for DH - not sure what it cost, but I don;t think it was like astronomically more than the regular stuff. And we just drank beer!

Not sure about the t-shirts and shorts - I suppose you could.... but most people are fairly dressed. Not totally, but somewhat.

You need to call and make early reservations for the Chef's Counter as it books up quickly I hear. I would love to try it one of these days. My Mom loved Napa and she does not drink at all, so no that is not something you have to do to enjoy your time. And don't worry about your chouce of clothes, many people will be in park attire you will not stick out at all. It is a fun place enjoy!

We ate at the chef's table and there aren't any bad seats. The chefs come over and talk to you and tell you about what they are preparing and explain dishes to you. You don't have to order off the special menu if you don't want to. You have the choice of doing the wine pairings (3 wines), but you don't have to do that either. It was an amazing experience. Chef's special menu will run apx. $50-80 per person (ask when you call for reservations). We wore shorts and tees when we went, and didn't feel out of place at all. Have a great time!!!:hippie::worship:
