Well, we're off to SW, DC and the Renaissance Resort on Friday....anyone have any last minute requests about specifics on any of these places?

Scott:cool:

I hope you plan on doing a trip report. We are doing a mother/daughter DC trip in July and would LOVE tips/advice.

Are you planning any special tours at SW?

I'd love some reviews the eateries, whether fast food or sit down.

Would you look into parking options too? I am not sure how many of the 7 days surrounding DC we will go to Seaworld. Is there an option besides paying 8/day?

Enjoy your trip!

I'll take good Notes....:teeth:

As far as parking, good question!! We're staying at the Renaissance right across the street, so we're planning to walk over, but I never thought of that. I would hope since DC admission includes SW admission, parking is included too, but I'll find out.

We have reservations for the Luau on Sunday Night, so I'll let you know about that, and anywhere else we eat.

Thanks!

Thanks Scott! I really appreciate you asking before you left, there isn't as much info here about SW and DC so I was so glad to see your post!

Enjoy!

Hi deetman, my DH and I are doing the dolphin swim for the first time in September so would like to hear your thoughts on this when you return!! Have a great trip!!:Pinkbounc

Just back, and a full trip report and reviews to follow, but for now.....

RobinMarie:

You DO have to pay for parking, but depending on your plans, there are options. Our tourguide at DC said that if you are planning on visiting seaworld for at least 2 days, there's a 'Parking upgrade' for $15.00 that gives you unlimited parking for 7 days.

If you're really cost conscious, the Renaissance has self parking for 6 dollars/day (I think it's available to anyone---you could say you were coming for breakfast or something) and it's an easy walk across the SeaWorld parking lot to the main entrance.

Someone else asked about the Video at DC---it's available in both NTSC and PAL formats.

More later....

Scott

BTW, the whole trip was WONDERFUL!!! DC is an unbelievable day.

I really appreciate the mini-report Scott! I believe we would spend more time/days there rather than large chunks of time with that option.

15.00 for the week looks pretty good - I was thinking of going to SW possibly 3 days during the 7 day period.

Thanks for the update can't wait for the Luau report

RobinMarie:

That's what we did--4-5 hours, 3 different days. Saw just about everything--a few things twice. It was HOT. (And I live in Savannah, GA). Even the "crew members" were complaining about the heat.

Plan on lots of cold drinks, and try to add an air conditioned experience between outdoor stuff....:sunny:

Did you do any of the 'cool off' things? My daughter loves splashing around and I envision her wearing her suit under her clothes and having time to play around.

Thanks for the info! We are looking forward to it!
