On-Line Check in ??

We will be going to OKW in two weeks and have a segemented reservation so we can take advantage of the Delex Dining Plan for a portion of our stay. Does anyone have any recent experience with the checik in process for an OKW segmented reservation? Is there any + or - to doing an online check in?
If we do check in online, is there a greater chance that the reservation process will get messed up more then if we wait to check in at the fromt desk and cause us to need more front desk visits later on to get things fixed like room keys or dinining credits?
 
Expect some issues and if they don't happen great!

Online check in is a toss up. Sometimes your room is ready and sometimes it's not. At OKW we waited longer to check in standing in the online check in line than others did in the regular line.

Everything is dependent on so many variables there is no standard.

I've never been able to get the online checkin to work at all with a segmented reservation under a single reservation number. It will error out before you can complete the process. Now, if you have more than one reservation number (one for each segment) it might work, and we always do it when we can just in case it will save us some time.
 

Has anyone ever tried to call MS to see if they can force an online check in? Just curious. thanks.

Actually, I did call them last May, and they told me nope, they couldn't do anything either, but that the techs were aware of the problem and working on a fix. :rolleyes:
 
Online check in was not made for the DVC it is a Disney cash Guest application. Like most Disney web applications DVC Members are given access but they often do not work for us.
