Just wanted to find out about your on-line check in experiences. We did not find it worth it as:
1) we had to have the room keys reprinted anyway, as online there were no choices to NOT have some of the members in our party have charging priveledges;
2) we were staying CL at the Poly, and standard policy is that you tell the valet, and they order a golf cart for you, and bring you back to Hawaii where you check with the concierge. Upon arrival we were told that we needed to instead get our package in the GCH since we did on-line check in. No golf cart ride (my kids were looking forward to that - honestly, me too with all our carry on stuff and the heat!
) Waiting in line anyway. We had to sit down with the concierge anyway, as we had unexpired tickets to add. Overall it took us longer, and was just a little annoying, because we even had the Club Letter the concierge sent us printed out to hand to the valet - no one had told us to NOT check in online. If the letter had said, "if you check in online, this will happen instead....." I wouldn't have checked in online, as I knew we had additional ticket adding with the unexpired tickets - the CL concierge knew this, because I had emailed back and forth some questions. In the grand scheme of things, not that big of a deal, Just first impressions were not what we were told to expect.
So, I thought I would post a poll on experiences with on-line check in.
