Is on line check in recomended for the Fort. We will be arriving early. We are not going to a park so we are probably going to want to park the pop up and go exploring.

I did it last week even though plans fell through with the weather. It might save a little time, but from what most have said it's not much help. :confused3 At least it's very easy to do. Maybe if more folks used it they would give the online checkin folks their own lane to pull thru.......it could happen:rolleyes1

I think I will do it just because it will make me feel closer to getting to the Fort.
 

This may be a stupid question, but does checking in on line completely eliminate the need to stop at the Reception Outpost once you get to FW? How do you get your car tags? Can you make any kind of requests on line? Do they give you a site # when you check in on line? Basically, I guess I am asking, how does it work? :confused:
 
I used the Online Check-In earlier this month and it improves the process. First you must still stop at the check-in windows as before, and yes you do have to wait it someones in line ahead of you. A separate line would be nice but would probably be very long as more folks use the online process. Once your reservation and your identification has been verified your are given a personally prepared packet and your site number. If you need to make any changes such as adding another person, charging privileges, etc, this can easily be done. While I wasn't watching a clock during the process I feel that it reduced our check-in by half. Now, if they would improve the cart rental process. What they have now is definitely not customer friendly! :mad:
