On-line Check in Help

I'm having some issues with the on-line Check in at the Poly. We arrive in 4 days. When I went through the process and try to make my room requests I got this message when I submitted it.

We were unable to add your special occasions or room requests. Please call (407) W-DISNEY or (407) 934-7639. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number.


I check the over 18 years old block. Resubmitted the request a number of times, but for some reason I keep getting this message. I'm in Canada so as of yet we don't have access to the new Disney website. So I'm not if that has anything to do with it.

My questions are: Has this happened to anyone else? Can it be fixed without getting on the phone with Disney? Or is there a way in which we can cancel the online-check in form and simple arrive and do regular check in?

My fear is that I won't be able to do regular check in and have no say in my room location.

I just checked in online and I did not have any place that I needed to say I was over 18 years old!?!?!

There are loads of issues with the site's functionality. Just keep trying through the day and week.

I don't know if it's different for Canada but try www.mydisneyreservation.com and see if that helps.

Bearing in mind that a request is a request regardless of checking in online. It doesn't guarantee you anything in regards to your room location.

I just checked in online and I did not have any place that I needed to say I was over 18 years old!?!?!

It asked if you were an adult in the party. There is a yes and a no box. Of course this could be a canadian thing. Anyways, I'll probably call disney tomorrow. I'm not too worried either way, but it would have been nice to have a patio so my wife and I could have a glass of wine on while the kids fall to sleep.

You should have your room request already on your reservaton. If not, call and put it on there. There isn't really a place to add room requests when doing online check in. They tease you with a few check boxes for things like "near transportation" or "pack and play" if you are lucky, but not all resorts have the same check boxes and some don't have any at all.

I always advise that if you have a room request that will make or break your vacation you are better off waiting to check in at the front desk, so you can work with the CM and the available inventory to get the best fit for you.

However, if you absolutely don't like your room, and you do online check in, you can get your room changed. It just means you lose any time savings you gained by doing online check-in in the first place.
