I don't quite understand all of these packages & there different options. Are they worth it to pay the extra.

I am undecided on the hotel/resort part for now, but i thought i would just book it all together with disney & get the tickets as well. But i don't understand the packages. What does it mean when they offer the eats with a package,

If i am going to get a package with the room stay & the tickets included what package should i get.

If i decided to get a package with room stay, tickets & meals for 2 adults & 1 4 year old what package should i get.

i have not a clue about this.

Hi there! Let me see if I can answer some of our questions. There are a few different ways to book stuff throug Disney. First, you can book a room only and then buy the tickets. If you book the room only, you pay a deposit which is the per night rate plus tax. You can then pay off the remainder on check in, pay in full, or pay a little at a time as the months go by. In the past this was an extremely popular way to book because people would pay the rack rate one nights deposit and a couple of months before their trip Disney would relase discount codes for room only. This would drop the rate from (for example) $77 a night in value season for the value resorts down to $55 a night. There are steeper discounts for the moderates and Deluxes. Now with the MYW packages you can book a package that includes room, tickets AND dining. This is a good deal if you will really utilize the dining portion. The room is rack rate, the tickets are the same price, but the dining option is well worth the money if you use it. The dining option is $35 a person (children have to order off the kid's menu) adults get one counter service meal, and one sit down or character meal (an appatizer, entree, dessert and beverage per person if not all you can eat) as well as a snack like popcorn or ice cream. The character dinners are around $19-25 per adult and 10-15 per child not including tax and tip tax and tip are included in the dining package). If you will do one sit down meal a day it is a good deal. If you will do all of them at breakfasts and lunch they are less expensive so it might not be worth it. Depends on where you would like to eat. The dining part of the package is a very good deal if you will be eating at the buffets and character meals. $35 x 3= $105. Can you eat all of the meals you want to try for under $105 a day including tax and tip? If not then the dining meal could be a real bargin. If you can eat for less than it is not a bargain, esp since you will be paying rack rate for your room. Those are the basic differences. The MYW tickets are the same price either way. Main difference there is with the package you always get tickets for however long you are staying where if you buy them seperate you can get less day if you would like. With the prices so close though it would only cost you a couple of dollars between the two. We will be getting 7 days hoppers where before these came out we were geting 5 days hoppers (no pluses) for the same price. I think that covers it. Sorry if I left anything out!

Oh yeah, you can also book the package witout the dining option which is just room and tickets. You still have to decide if you want to add on the hopper option which adds to the price, the no expiration option or the plusses if you will use PI,DQ, WWoS or any of the water parks. Again, the tickets are not discounted so most people that are looking for just room and tix book seperate to get the codes since if you book this as a package you have to pay the $200 travel company deposit and if you book the room only you can just pay the one nights rate deposit- unless of course you want to have one of the deluxe rooms that runs over $200. I think they include a luggage tag or something in the basic package-not sure. You can usually also add discount codes to the packages as well.

Hello! I think the meal plan is going to be good for us. But, Im wondering where will I save more money? Should I get the dinning option and pay more for the room or wait for codes and get the room discount? Can I book the room now and add the dinning option later? How far in advance can I book at the All Star Movie Resort? TIA

you stated above Disney would release discount codes for room only, How will i know that they are doing this. Should i look for them here or contact disney to see. We are planning on going June 26-July1. Also if i just booked a room Were is the best place to get tickets at in the past i we got them at the gate. We would want a 5 day hopper + no expiration date as well just in case.
Sorry to be such a pain, i just would like to get the best of what i can for less.

thanks

Hi! The first thing I would do is go over to www.mousesavers.com and register for her email newletter. Then you will get notified here on the boards as well as by email when the codes get relead, usually about 90 out, sometimes only 60 days. They do sometimes have codes for packages but since all the packages are new this year I have no idea if they will still be doing them. We are using alot of others adive this next trip and we bought our tickets through ticketmania www.ticketmania.com. Also if you get the mousesavers newsletter you get a special extra discount. Their prices include tax and free shipping. I saved $45 on 4 7 day hoppers (expiring ones) over what Disney would have charged me. They seem to be extremly reliable. I even am paying $5 to have them delivered to our hotel since I waited to buy untill it was too lae to have them mailed. I will let you know how that worked when I get back. DON'T BUY AT THE GATE or RESORT. You will be missing out on the advance purchase discount, not to mention the newletter discount on top of ticketmanias already lower prices. Let me know if you have any other questions!
