Hi there! Let me see if I can answer some of our questions. There are a few different ways to book stuff throug Disney. First, you can book a room only and then buy the tickets. If you book the room only, you pay a deposit which is the per night rate plus tax. You can then pay off the remainder on check in, pay in full, or pay a little at a time as the months go by. In the past this was an extremely popular way to book because people would pay the rack rate one nights deposit and a couple of months before their trip Disney would relase discount codes for room only. This would drop the rate from (for example) $77 a night in value season for the value resorts down to $55 a night. There are steeper discounts for the moderates and Deluxes. Now with the MYW packages you can book a package that includes room, tickets AND dining. This is a good deal if you will really utilize the dining portion. The room is rack rate, the tickets are the same price, but the dining option is well worth the money if you use it. The dining option is $35 a person (children have to order off the kid's menu) adults get one counter service meal, and one sit down or character meal (an appatizer, entree, dessert and beverage per person if not all you can eat) as well as a snack like popcorn or ice cream. The character dinners are around $19-25 per adult and 10-15 per child not including tax and tip tax and tip are included in the dining package). If you will do one sit down meal a day it is a good deal. If you will do all of them at breakfasts and lunch they are less expensive so it might not be worth it. Depends on where you would like to eat. The dining part of the package is a very good deal if you will be eating at the buffets and character meals. $35 x 3= $105. Can you eat all of the meals you want to try for under $105 a day including tax and tip? If not then the dining meal could be a real bargin. If you can eat for less than it is not a bargain, esp since you will be paying rack rate for your room. Those are the basic differences. The MYW tickets are the same price either way. Main difference there is with the package you always get tickets for however long you are staying where if you buy them seperate you can get less day if you would like. With the prices so close though it would only cost you a couple of dollars between the two. We will be getting 7 days hoppers where before these came out we were geting 5 days hoppers (no pluses) for the same price. I think that covers it. Sorry if I left anything out!
