Getting very excited about our trip next week! We are staying at CSR for 3 nights and AKL for 3 nights. My ? is to get to another resort for dinner do you go to a park and then get their bus? And is it worth doing (w/5 children)?

Kind of regretting not staying at CR..

To go between resorts, you need to use one of the parks or Downtown Disney as a transfer point. I would only use DD if none of the parks are open - buses seem to run less frequently to and from DD than they do to the major parks. If the parks are open, I generally get on the first park bus to arrive.

There are some other options (boat, walk) that are available depending on the resort you are planning to visit. If yo post the specifics, we can give better advice.

If all else fails or you are just too tired to spend an hour or so on the various buses, consider a cab. They are quick and quite easy to get at the resorts. Expect to spend about $15 (including tip) for each trip. Obviously, you'll need to get one of the larger cabs or take two.

Is it worth it? Well, only you can answer that, LOL!

Best wishes -

I ask you this.

For dinner, will you be leaving the theme park, then going all the way to your resort, then back out to go to dinner??

Why don't you just go to dinner at the resort of your choice after you leave the theme park for the afternoon?? Then it is a straight ride.

Then if all parks are closed after you finish your dinner, then take a cab back to your resort or use buses to DD, then transfer.

We try and coordinate our dinners, so that we're not transferring all over the place.

For example, if we are in MK for the evening, then we take the monorail to one of those resorts for dinner, or the boat over to WL or Ft. Wilderness. Since MK almost always closes before Epcot, then we get over to Epcot on the monorail and take a bus back to All-Stars.

If we are eating dinner after leaving the Studios, then we walk or take the boat over to the Epcot resort area, then have dinner, then get to Epcot in time for Illuminations, then head back to our resort.

Use some location planning and time planning when making resort dinner PSs!!!!

Don't make a dinner reservation at Jiko at 9:30 pm after Epcot closes unless your staying at AKL!!!
