? on flower power concert

i posted this on the park planning, but wondering if dvc members get special seating at the flower power concerts?

Yes. Last year, DVC members (and AP holders) could get a wristband that got admission to a reserved seating area for the concerts.

You do have to pick up the wristband at Epcot Guest Services (just to the left beyond Spaceship Earth) on your way into the park the day of the concert you want to attend- they are NOT available at the theater ... and it's a looong walk back to pick up the wristband. The wristbands are color coded will get you into a specific show (there are 3 ) on that day. You cannot order them in advance- only on the day of the performance you're interested in seeing. You'll still want to get to the theater early, as the wristband isn't for a reserved seat- only for a first-come-first-served in the reserved section.

We enjoyed the special, closer seating, but on both days we also stayed for a second concert and it wasn't hard getting good seats for the last show. We saw Orleans and Gary Puckett.

We went last year and got special seating. We were on the first row on the side. We showed them our member cards and our whole group moved up to the front. We love the concerts and the oldie music is just great!

Ok, I saw a list of performers over on one of the other boards that was still incomplete and I only recognized about a 1/4 of them. That is likely due to my age though and I suspect my sister would recognize even less. We were at WDW during the Flower Show last April but didn't go to any of the concerts. Now that we are DVCers and will be staying 8(maybe 9) days and can apparently get special seating, maybe we'll do it as Mom likely does recognize the performers. Thanks for posting the thread. I'm so new to this that I didn't even think about those types of benefits from being DVC. I rather imagine that our first trip home(actually SSR but going there in Dec so OKW in May-June is first) will be a much different experience from our past trips to the World for many reasons starting with the accomodations but also due to unexpected DVC/AP benefits.

I"m going to be in DW during this time. We have never done this before, could someone give me an idea about show times. I want to make a PS for dinner in worldshowcase.

Last year, Flower Power concert times were 5:45, 7:00 and 8:15 (PM) when we were there.

I don't know that the concert hours have been posted yet, but from memory, I think they are something like 3:00, 5:00 and 7:00pm each day. (Could be 4,6 and 8 though.)

If you plan a late PS for dinner, you can easily go to hte early show and have plenty of time. The early weekday shows generally have the smallest audiences.

Thanks for info. Unfortunately we are going April 10-17th (celebrating my 50th ) so we only can go on friday or sat. I"ll definetly get the priority seating wristbands we"re ap holders and DVC members so no prob I'll get a late PS. not sure when the band stops playing at germany (thats where DS wants to eat) so if anyone knows I"d love to know. I love these boards everyone is so helpful.
